“We normally have a faultless experience at the seven stars but unfortunately this occasion fell far below the usual standards. Service was incredibly slow, a 50 minute wait for a near empty restaurant. Considering it’s the hospitality sector it was far from hospitable. There was no check back throughout our evening, hard potato’s served with the children’s meal, and a hot plate placed infront of a 1 year old. I personally understand the struggles better than most so please don’t see this as a below the belt review. I manage a hotel with an F&B offering but many of the basics were overlooked. this visit has unfortunately left a bad taste in our mouths”

“We nipped in on friday and honestly it was fab. We have a toddler and the staff were really accommodating and friendly. Food was cooked perfectly and just overall really nice. We're not normally this side of the river but will definitely come back next time we are”

“Eaten here a few times when passing Exeter. Food always good, restaurant clean and tidy and friendly service. Nice seating area outside.”

“We had a beef carvery. Carrots and green vegetables were so hard they were inedible. Mentioned it but nothing was done. No horseradish either! Roast potatoes were a bit tough. Beef was lovely (but not enough) and Yorkshire pudding was too. Tiramisu was delicious. Wouldn't have Sunday lunch here again as very disappointed.”

“Terrible. Awful experience. 2 gluten free mixed grills. No alternative for sausages which we couldn’t have. Steak & gammon were dry & very tough. All eggs were dry & hard. Lamb burger was driest ever had with hardly any tzatziki.”
