  “A pub with Young's Best Bitter...and well kept it was too. Lovely pub. Jolly staff, lovely relaxing beer garden. Worth the walk out of Emsworth to discover on the main road. Apparently it is known for decent grub too. Friday deal was 2 cocktails for £10 so we tried these too.”

  “We visited this place after reading positive reviews about their sausage platter and decided to give it a try. We were seated comfortably and the sausage platter arrived promptly. However, we were slightly disappointed. The vegetables were quite crunchy and whilst the mash was good, the sausages themselves were lacking. Out of seven sausages, one was a repeat and the flavours were hard to discern. Some of the garlic sausages even tasted soapy. Overall, we think we might have caught them off guard because the experience didn’t quite live up to the 4.3 rating.”

  “We had a lovely evening but I was disappointed with my food, just two sausages, and I would expect three, and they were really skinny and dry, nothing like the plump ones in the pictures. My friend really enjoyed his pie so maybe I was just unlucky.”

  “There is no food. We booked place for a party. Staff are efficient and friendly. The space is under railway arches and can open up to road so does not get too hot when there are 50 people doing a Ceilidth or a DJ set. Beer is fab. It does lack a choice of interesting soft drinks and no gluten free options except a lively cider. Can bring your own party food. But its not far from street food markets. Will definitely use the olace again.”

  “An amazing pub with a cosy feel and a gorgeous fireplace. The staff are fantastic and the food is to die for. We have eaten here a number of times and never been disappointed, the pies and sausages are soo tasty and the charcuterie board is a show stopper! Would highly recommend this pub!”
