  “Das Einzige, was uns an diesem Restaurant wirklich gefallen hat, war das Ambiente. Wir hatten 4 Gerichte: Beetroot Salad, Fava, Imam Bayildi und Kokkinisto. Leider konnte uns keines davon überzeugen. Alle 4 Gerichte waren aus unserer Sicht sehr fad und wenig aromatisch. Als Griechen sind wir mit den authentischen Geschmäckern vertraut. Besonders beim Beetroot Salad waren wir uns nicht sicher, ob er tatsächlich so schmecken sollte. Nach dem Essen hatten wir beide die ganze Nacht mit Magenkrämpfen und Durchfall zu kämpfen, was die Erfahrung zusätzlich getrübt hat. Auch der Service konnte leider nicht überzeugen. Die blonde Kellnerin empfanden wir als ausgesprochen unfreundlich und arrogant. Beim Hinausgehen hat sie uns den Weg versperrt und ging ohne eine Verabschiedung an uns vorbei. Von der viel gerühmten griechischen Gastfreundschaft haben wir leider wenig gespürt. Zusätzlich fanden wir das bereits auf der Rechnung eingerechnete Trinkgeld von 12,5 % unangemessen hoch. Alles in allem leider eine grosse Enttäuschung und für uns definitiv kein Restaurant, in das wir wiederkommen würden.”

  “Nice place, good food, as you'd expect with a more mezze style meal it depends what you pick. The chicken thighs were outstanding, moussaka is nice, but not as flavoursome as I expected from the reviews, but I still enjoyed it. Recommended, would definitely go again.”

  “We were treated like family from the moment we arrived. The food was extraordinary. Try the Meze to get a taste of lots of the menu. Particular highlights included the calamari with fava bean dip and the Greek sausages. Everything is cooked to order and all of the ingredients are imported from Greece. You can really taste that extra effort! Save room for the desserts-the orange cake was so light and aromatic, and the baklava was exceptional. Thank you so much for such a wonderful experience.”

  “Visited Simply Greek for an early dinner. Was expecting great things after seeing a very impressive 4.8 on Google with plenty of reviews. Unfortunately I found this restaurant to be very inconsistent. To start with the positives: the decor and atmosphere were quite nice, and the service was generally good; staff were friendly enough and did not make us wait long to order. We ordered a few different items, the best being the chicken thighs and the Moussaka, both simple but very delicious. The fries, Greek salad and pita were also good. Now the negatives: upon entering we were offered water for the table, which is always great to see in restaurants, however this was a trick. We ended up spending £4.50 on a bottle of mineral water when tap water would have easily sufficed. Offering a bottle is fine but we should have been given the option to have tap water instead. A £4.50 bottle of water should also give a clue on how pricey this place is. We spent £80 for 3 people and we did not get a great amount of food. The most atrocious example being the broccoli salad. £8 for a few bits of cold broccoli in a very strong vinaigrette. This item is a complete scam. The sides in general are all very pricey, but it was stated on the menu that a side could be selected to accompany grill mains. However we were charged the full price for each side, £7.50 for a tiny Greek salad and £4.50 for some fries! The mixed grill should have been great but unfortunately a lot of the meat was dry. This did not feel authentic in any way. To top it all off, a 12.5% service charge is added automatically. While it was good of the waitress to declare this, to be charged an extra £10 for a mediocre experience did not feel right. Overall I would give future customers to following recommendations: • Ensure you specify tap water if you don’t want to spend £4.50. • Do NOT order the broccoli salad if you value your money • Pay attention to the pricing of the sides • The Moussaka is great but it is very heavy; two people could share this. • If you come here hoping for a gyros, there were none on the menu as of April 2026 despite all the photos from other customers. I wouldn’t necessarily not recommend this restaurant, the menu has some promising options, but I wouldn’t go in expecting a 4.8 star experience!”

  “Highly recommend this Greek restaurant! We ordered what can only be described as an irresponsible amount of mezze and every single bite disappeared. No survivors on the plates. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the wines are fantastic, and the mocktails are just as good for the non-drinkers. And as a bonus: a very handsome bartender😎”
