  “We took the chance we could walk-in for dinner and as luck would have it they had room for 2. The cocktails were yummy and fun. The best venison I have ever tasted! My sister’s fish was perfect. And the espresso martini was a great way to top it all off. Very cozy atmosphere and attentive staff. We highly recommend! Best to make a reservation.”

  “Excellent meal in a great atmosphere. From the walk into the close through stepping into the restaurant, everything felt high end and lovely. The cocktails were really good and we greatly enjoyed the steak tartare and the pork belly. The sides are a very generous portion to share among 2.”

  “We started with the sourdough bread & butter which was so yummy. Added the goat cheese & the steak tartare, also both good. For sure the most amazing dish was the trout! Probably the best trout we’ve ever had. Atmosphere was cozy and nice.”

  “Monteiths is a must in Edinburgh! Best haggis and fried potato we have had! Delicious dishes and fantastic cocktails. Tucked into a quaint close - this place has an amazing atmosphere and the most welcoming staff. Pietro made our experience even better with his friendly service.”
