Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the rump of lamb, with duck breast and pork belly close behind, and describe the cooking as tender and done to perfection. Starters draw praise too, particularly the scallops and duck egg with Bombay potato, while the Thai sweet potato soup, baked Camembert, and a mushroom and beetroot Wellington each get a mention. Desserts include a creme brulee with homemade raspberry sorbet and a cheesecake. Two coeliac diners say nearly everything is gluten free, so they could relax over the meal. Several mention the whisky selection, cocktails, and a properly decanted bottle of red. Service is described as friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive, and one reviewer notes it is a little more expensive than an average restaurant. Reviewers also say it was full on a Saturday evening, so booking paid off. One birthday diner closes with a card from the waiter, a detail they called a very nice touch.

“Just left having booked a table at 1700 hrs and the 'Early Bird Menu'. The food was totally divine: Baked Camambert, Mushroom and Beetroot Wellington with veggies done to perfection and Cheesecake. Thoroughly delicious. Excellent bottle of red and properly decanted - don't see that very often these days. Delightful staff - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED”

“Saturday evening, it was full so good we had booked. Rump steak and duck breast were very good, didn't bother with desert as we were full. House white was delicious. Great atmosphere and attentive service. Nice place for a special meal.”
