  “Visiting the area we wanted to taste the best Cromer crab and lobster. We asked around for recommendations and one name kept coming up - Rocky Bottoms (best to book some said). We had a fabulous meal: a few oysters, crab salad and lobster salad. This is the restaurant speciality and they do it wonderfully as a family from boat to table.”

  “Great place for a casual Sunday lunch with the family. The waitstaff are highlight, super friendly and eager to share their enthusiasm for the food and environs. The food is fresh and wholesome, but if you want any spice or flavor beyond salt and pepper you have bring your own. The crab shell is stuffed with some sort of flavorless reddish paste which I was told is the edible ground up body of the crab. In the hands of a clever chef this might actually be delicious on crackers, but also it was totally bland and a chore to eat.”

  “We came to a romantic dinner here and Oh my Lord the atmosphere was stunning. Twinkling candles on every table, cosy design. The garlic bread was out of this world , you must order it as a side with the mains. The wine selection was excellent, and all the seafood went down as smoothly as a sledge down Mount Everest! The only slight disappointment was the salt and pepper squid starter. It arrived on a rather generous bed of salad, which felt like a bit of a cheeky trick to make the portion look bigger. The squid was also not the highlight of the show. We’d have much preferred more squid and less greenery. Otherwise, a fantastic seafood experience!”

  “We had a superb meal at Rocky Bottoms. The beer battered oysters, prawn cocktail and fish and chips were delicious and the portions were huge. The staff were exceptional and a special shout out to Kat who was attentive and really looked after us.”

  “We booked a last minute table and were truly amazed at the food, service and atmosphere. I can’t recommend this place enough. We had three courses with a ‘small platter’ as a sharing main. It was fantastic. I’m not a great lover of service charges being added to the bill rather than allowing you to add a tip if the service was good but in this instance I had no issue at all as the service was second to none. Can’t wait to visit again.”

  “Phenomenal seafood restaurant! Reservations are required especially in the summertime. Everything was incredible from the food to the service to the atmosphere. All the seafood is caught in the morning on their own boats then served a few hours later in the restaurant. The lobster was pre-dressed meaning it was super easy to eat and enjoy. All the food was served extremely quickly and the staff were very attentive. We can’t wait to return”

  “This is a great restaurant. Great position on the coast, lovely views and dining both inside and out. The food is superb and really well presented. We had the Lobster Tails and Prawn Cocktail for starters and the Crab Pappardelle and half Lobster for mains, plus a side salad for good measure. The Pappardelle is worthy of note, superb pasta and tons of crab. That is definitely on my return to list. Finally, the staff singing along to the music was superb, they genuinely seemed a happy bunch. We will be back.”

  “The ambiance is fantastic, offering a gorgeous coastal backdrop that sets the perfect mood for a seaside meal. Sitting outside with a view of the sea is a genuinely lovely experience.Unfortunately, the culinary experience doesn’t quite match up to the expectations. Come here for a drink and to soak in the beautiful North Norfolk atmosphere, but don't expect the food to blow you away”

  “⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️Exceptional Service & A Brilliant Birthday Lunch!🎂❤️ We had an absolutely fantastic experience at Rocky Bottom for my wife’s birthday lunch. As it’s a bit of a nightmare finding a proper restaurant open on a Monday in this area, we had to book this one last minute. Even though it was a late booking and we didn't have anything official set up, they still made it a thoroughly happy birthday lunch for her. The absolute highlight of the meal was the staff. The waiter and waitress were exceptional: highly attentive, cheerful, and incredibly helpful. We were dining with our baby girl and admittedly caused a fair bit of trouble and mess, but the staff couldn't have been sweeter about it. They looked after us wonderfully and made us feel completely at ease. The food was lovely and the service was spot on. They do clearly state that there is a 12.5% service charge on the bill, but it was definitely worth paying for such brilliant hospitality. Highly recommend Rocky Bottom if you're after great seafood and staff who actually care. We’ll absolutely be back!”
