About The Live & Let Live
The Live & Let Live is a pub in Colchester at 12 Millers Ln, with a garden laid out in beach hut style seating areas, picnic benches and heated booths with lighting. The heated booths give the garden a covered, warmed option for groups and pairs who want to stay out there. The kitchen serves a Sunday roast with roast trimmings, along with a Yorkshire wrap. At the bar, the drinks list covers a selection of ales plus a few craft-type beers, and a selection of ciders that includes proper cider. Gins round out the list for anyone who prefers a spirit.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often return to the Sunday roast, praised as proper home cooked with all the trimmings, generous portions and good value. Close behind are the other big plates: American burgers and a vegan curry that one diner called huge, and a Yorkshire wrap that reviewers say will easily feed two. The toffee apple pie and an afternoon tea also draw praise. Drinks get steady mentions, including a good selection of ciders, ales and gins, and one reviewer says staff were able to recommend drinks. The garden has beach hut style seating, picnic benches, and booths with lighting and heating, and a couple of reviewers mention bringing their dog. The main criticisms are small. One diner found the pub quiet enough to want background music, another struggled cutting the roast potatoes, and one thought the kids meals were less well priced than the adult ones. One group of five arrived without a booking just before a party of 22, and staff seated them if they ordered quickly, with drinks brought to the table and meals everyone enjoyed.

“5 of us arrived noon Friday 4th Sept, no booking, we were told a party of 22 arriving 1pm.. if we placed orders asap they could accommodate us. We each ordered a different meal.... service was great, drinks to the table.... meals.. all of us enjoyed our meals very much, portions were very good too. Will definitely recommend and will be back. Thank you chef and staff”

“I visited the pub after a football match at Stanway Rovers. My son (and his mate) ordered American Burgers that were so big I doubt they needed to eat again for 2 days...lol. And I ordered a vegan curry which again was huge. Lovely food and we will DEFINITELY be back after the next time we go to watch the football. Thank you”

“Amazing Sunday roast, very generous portions. Good selection of ciders to wash it down with. They do a Yorkshire wrap, don't be fooled into thinking it's a lighter option, it will easily feed 2, and is delicious.”
