  “3 of us friends met for a regular catch up on Wednesday evening. We were served by Kris for the second time we have dined here. Excellent service from Kris who was very polite and mindful of not interrupting our conversation too much. He was very friendly and easy going. Food was lovely again and we all said it was at a good price. We will def be back again.”

  “Lovely place to go for a meal with the family! Definitely my favourite McMullens location!!!! The food is really good and the staff is fantastic. Would have given five stars if the emo girl with the blonde hair was still working the bar, I believe her name is Daria? Nonetheless I will return (more likely if the blonde girl is back)”

  “Great service from Kris tonight - very attentive and knowledge of the menu was outstanding. Visited today as the Princess Charlotte is one of the few air conditioned pubs - was so nice to get out of the heatwave heat. Food and service top notch.”

  “Disappointing Experience – Lost a Customer Due to Poor Parking Communication I recently visited Princess Charlotte Chicken Pub and Grill in Colchester with my family for a meal. While I actually liked the food, I am extremely unhappy and will not be returning because of how the parking situation was handled. Whilst we were eating, I received a parking notice for my car. I was never informed by any staff member that I needed to register my vehicle upon arrival. If there’s a requirement to register your car, it should be clearly communicated to customers before they park, not after they’ve already received a fine. This is completely unacceptable. As a family who enjoyed the food, we felt blindsided. Because of this experience, Princess Charlotte has lost a customer. Any pub that offers “free off-street parking” should make the registration process absolutely clear to guests — ideally with staff mentioning it when you arrive or parking. I’m disappointed and frustrated. The food was good, but the lack of communication about parking has ruined the entire experience. Would not recommend unless they fix their parking communication.”

  “Review of Princess Charlotte Recently, I dined at Princess Charlotte with a family group of ten, and the experience exceeded my expectations. - Service —The waitress was exceptionally friendly and professional. She catered to our needs without any hassle, making the dining experience enjoyable from the start. - Food— I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the food, which was well above average. I ordered the American-style burger, and it quickly became one of my top three burgers ever—I've tried quite a few! Everyone else in the group also enjoyed their meals, and they were served in a timely manner. - Drinks and Desserts Drinks were served quickly, which was much appreciated. Although they had run out of Eton Mess (my first choice for dessert), what I ended up having was still really nice I would highly recommend Princess Charlotte for its excellent service and delicious food!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”

  “15 of us attended here last night for our Christmas meal & the food was amazing!! 3 courses for under £30 on there festive menu was also fantastic value for money!! Once we were seated the food arrived in good time, was served all at once & was nice, hot & fresh!! The Turkey & Beef on both the roast were excellent, really soft & tender so a special thank you to the Chef & his team for the wonderful meals. The staff were attentive throughout the night & kept drinks topped when needed & cleared the table quickly between each course. We all had a great evening & will definitely be recommending & returning again! Thank you 😊”
