Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return most for the rotating themed tasting menus, and the Childhood menu draws the most mentions, with its Egg & Soldiers opener, a lunchbox of stickers and activity packs on arrival, and a fifth course revealed in a red and yellow takeaway box. Close behind is the New York ten course menu, where the everything bagel fish course stands out, and the pasta menu, with one diner praising the ravioli. Others describe an American Murder Mystery menu with clues between courses, and a Space menu with headphones and a blindfold. Wine pairings and a cocktail flight earn praise, and a vegetarian menu is said to miss none of the original's excitement. Servers are repeatedly credited for explaining each dish in detail and pacing the courses, and one arranged an alternative course for a food intolerance. The only criticism is one dish that seemed a little too salty, which the server offered to replace. Several diners were celebrating anniversaries, and one couple found two glasses of fizz waiting at their table.

“The American Murder Mystery tasting menu at Six by Nico was an absolute delight! Reviewing the clues as each course progressed made for a truly interactive and theatrical dining experience. Every course from start to finish was mind-blowing, offering a wonderful range of flavours and textures that showcased exceptional culinary skill. Kudos to Chef Douglas and the team for putting together such an amazing symphony of cuisine. A special thank you to Lottie and the team, who provided outstanding service. They were completely invested in the storytelling while keeping the entire experience comfortable and enjoyable. Every penny is worth it, and I highly recommend it, especially if you are looking for somewhere special to celebrate an occasion!”

“We booked an early dinner which meant the restaurant was very quiet. This in no way detracted from what turned out to be a genuinely great experience. The food was a visual delight and of very high quality. One dish was a little too salty for me but Lu our server offered to replace. On the subject of Lu , she was exceptional. Nothing was too much trouble. Dishes were served at intervals that gave the chance to digest and savour the previous one. She explained every dish expertly and was obviously passionate about the concept. There is no aspect of the service I could criticise. She made the whole explanation very special.”

“Came here for my fiance and I's 9th anniversary and it was just absolutely out of the park amazing in every single aspect Michael was our chef and every course of the New York 10 course menu had so much care put into it, everything was delicious and amazingly presented (the everything bagel fish course was our stand out favourite) We went for the wine pairings and they were all stunning Julia and Grace were our servers and I couldn't praise or compliment them highly enough. Their expertise on all aspects of our food and drink were impressive enough to already make a great experience but the complete care, kindness, joy and laughs they gave us turned our night from a special night to an unforgettable one. Thank you so so much ❤️”

“We attended Six by Nico for the New York themed 10 course taster menu and the experience was excellent! We also opted for the wine pairing and our waitress was incredibly knowledgeable about the regions of the wines and how they complimented the courses. The food was excellent both in taste and presentation and was a wonderful ode to New York. I would highly recommend the vegetarian menu, it does not leave you feeling like you've missed out on any of the flavours or excitement of the original menu.”

“Visited Six by Nico today for the Childhood tasting menu and honestly… what an experience from start to finish. ✨ From the moment I walked in, the service was impeccable. My server, Jude, was incredibly polite, professional and attentive throughout the entire experience. Every dish that arrived at the table was explained in detail, and you could tell he genuinely cared about making the experience special. He was so efficient in his role and added such a warm touch to the afternoon. The first course, Egg & Soldiers, was hands down my absolute favourite — pure nostalgia elevated into fine dining. Every bite was packed with flavour and creativity. The sourdough served with smoked butter and sea salt was also unreal… simple but executed perfectly. What makes Six by Nico so special is that it truly feels like art on a plate. The talent in that kitchen is incredible. Every sauce, every texture and every tiny detail is so thoughtfully put together that each bite feels like a flavour explosion. You can tell how much passion goes into every single course. I also loved the playful touches throughout the experience. The little lunchbox brought to the table on arrival filled with stickers, activity packs and a printed menu was such a fun nostalgic detail and instantly set the tone for the theme. Then revealing the fifth course inside the quirky red and yellow takeaway box was another standout moment — so creative and memorable. It’s those final details that take the experience to another level. The ambience of the restaurant is beautiful too — aesthetically pleasing, immersive and just a whole mood from beginning to end. I personally found the portion sizes more than enough for a tasting menu, especially as someone who isn’t a huge eater. Every course felt satisfying without being overwhelming. Overall, Six by Nico delivered an experience that was creative, nostalgic, immersive and genuinely unforgettable. Incredible food, amazing service and attention to detail that made every moment feel special. Already thinking about my next visit. 🍽️✨”
