Customer Review Summary
Most reviewers point to the upstairs balcony and patio, praising the lovely view over Cardiff Bay and the harbour, with outdoor seating on sunny days. Close behind are the good choice of beer, the bargain value and a spacious, light and airy room. Several describe quick, friendly, efficient service, including food arriving fast after ordering through the app. One says the managers pointed them to the allergen screens when choosing a meal for a lactose intolerant daughter. Opinions on the food vary: one found a meal cooked perfectly, another enjoyed an all day brunch, and a third only uses the pub for drinks because the food isn't much cop. The main complaint is app drink orders. One reviewer's drinks arrived with the food, well after ordering. Another says app drinks are not made until customers at the bar have been served, got a rude reply when asking the barman to prepare them sooner, and left with a refund.

“Pretty decent all day brunch. Not really any parking in the area (when I visited) Staff were professional and curious. Went upstairs and got a waft of the cannabis odour so not for me. Very light and airy.”

“DO NOT ORDER ONLINE UPSTAIRS. Yesterday I order a drink. Wondered why there were so many approaching the bar and not ordering online. I soon learned they don't prepare/service online drinks until all customer at the bar have been serviced. I saw more than 10 customers come and go at the bar after I sent my order. I went inside and asked the barman to prepare my drinks before serving the next customer. I was given an extremely rude response. I asked for a refund which he input. He aggressively told me I'd get my money back in3 to 5 working days and that I shouldn't be so impatient. If he was an employee of mine he'd be dismissed immediately. Learn from other wetherspoons that have a superb system in place.”

“It was very quiet when I visited but the pub is very spacious with plenty of choice of beer. The upstairs has a nice view of the harbour. Service, food and drink were all quick and staff were friendly.”

“Visited while it was sunny and sat outside, lovely view. It was quite busy, the team was working really hard and I was served quickly which was great. Managers seemed really knowledgeable and they were able to point me in the direction of the allergen screens which helped me pick a meal for my daughter who's lactose intolerant. Overall great experience, would return again”

“Wetherspoon pubs are generally worth a visit in my experience, but this seems one of their better venues. It was clean, well presented and friendly, with a view over Cardiff Bay if you want it. And the food I had was cooked perfectly and I really couldn't find fault with it. The beer was good too!”
