About Boom Battle Bar Cardiff
Boom Battle Bar Cardiff is an activity bar in Cardiff, on The Old Brewery Quarter, built around competitive games. Indoor axe throwing is run with an instructor on hand, and mini golf and augmented darts sit alongside it for friends, families and team-building groups. Private karaoke rooms have drinks ordered to the room, and the rooms are booked in advance. Street food and a cocktail menu keep players fuelled between rounds. A host leads a cocktail class where food is part of the experience. The Boom Bundle brings together street food plates, premium drink tokens and a game of your choice. The venue also hosts birthday celebrations and date nights.

Shuffle board and the arcade section also get mentions. Smaller complaints include brunch that felt pricey for what arrived and toilets described as a bit poor. Several single out one server for making the visit, and one reviewer says staff looked out for a pair of prescription sunglasses left behind.

“This review is based on our experience with the Karaoke. - Arrived with 7 friends on time but we couldnt go in on the booked hour as they had to clear up from the previous customers. Thats fine. We were shown how to use the equipment and how to order drinks. We did order drinks promptly but it took almost 40 minutes before we had to tell them we hadnt recieved 1 drink. They did give us some free shots but thats not very good service to start with. - Secondly the Karaoke itself. Not sound proofed and very quiet. I could hear us singing over the music. The mics were pointless due to the locked low volume. Assuming they have dropped the volume becuase of the lack of sound proofing. It really spoils the experience. Some of the tracks were sped up, missing backing lyrics from popular songs, some were cover musical tracks and not the original track. Roxy lanes Karaoke is far better in my opinion. Staff were friendly though. I just think the Karaoke its not good.”

“Darts with our host Shanti was AMAZING. She was really welcoming and made our day! Brunch could be better, pricey for what we had, but great atmosphere. Would definitely recommend the games for any sort of get together.”

“A cool bar with lots of little activities inside. Had good fun playing shuffle board. Didn't have door so can't comment on the. Knocked a star as the toilets were a bit poor.”

“We booked a karaoke room and ordered some drinks on a Thursday, so it was fairly quiet. Suzie was absolutely lovely! Had a brilliant evening, she was so friendly and polite, great vibes, and there was a great atmosphere. I went with a friend, who had been before, but it was a first time going for the rest of us, and we genuinely had a blast. Definitely will go again and will try some or the other activities! Drinks were also lovely. I didn't get the name of the guy that served us as the bar, but he also great, and suggested some really nice drinks!”
