About The Masons Arms Marshfield
The Masons Arms Marshfield is a family-run pub on St Mellons Rd in Cardiff, with wooden beams and low ceilings inside. Outside, a large beer garden overlooks a children's play area, so parents can sit with a drink and keep watch while the children play. Part of the garden is shaded, and dogs are welcome there and on the covered decking. The kitchen serves traditional pub food in big portions, and the Sunday lunch caters for gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan diners. At the bar, draught beers sit alongside a wide selection of wines, and pickled eggs are on offer. Themed nights and events run for families, adults and children. The pub also hosts parties with buffets and entertainment.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers return mostly for the food, described as good old fashioned pub grub with big portions served piping hot, and homely meals that one regular travels out for most weeks. Sunday lunch earns its own praise, with staff who cater for gluten free, vegetarian and vegan diners. Close behind is the welcome, with staff and locals repeatedly called friendly and the family run feel mentioned more than once. Families single out the play area and the large beer garden, and several mention regular events and theme nights. Reviewers also name a wide selection of beers and wines, plus wooden beams and low ceilings inside. One visitor liked that the background music from the 80's was quiet enough to talk easily, and a first-time diner thanked the servers for looking after her while she was pregnant.

“We are a small village pub, with cosy and welcoming vibes, serving good hearty meals, freshly prepared and locally sourced. Our play area is loved by children who visit, and the beer garden over looking the play area is large with plenty of seats for all including parents that want to keep an eye on playing children. We have lots of entertainment through the year and host an array of parties with buffets and entertainment to suit your requirements. We have a new and updated covered decking area which can be enjoyed all year round. Dogs are welcome in our large beer garden and decking area. We are a true, traditional pub - we even serve the iconic pickled egg and draft beers!!”
