  “It's a pretty normal Wetherspoons so you know what to expect. Food up to it's usual standard, good choice of beers etc. Very handy for a swift drink before you get on the train - the train station is nearby. Unusually though, the toilets are on the ground floor!!”

  “Very busy all the time but still a good one sgagg are absolutely lovlee. Food is quick and very hot. I only come here for breakfast and coffee but nethertheless it's outstanding service and quality simple food.”

  “My family and I are regular customers and visit the pub every Sunday. There are usually six of us, and we often spend several hours there enjoying a family day out. We also visit during the week, so we know the pub well and have always enjoyed coming there. Unfortunately, over the last couple of Sundays, we have noticed a significant decline in standards. We have witnessed people openly selling and taking drugs on the premises, which is extremely concerning. The pub has also been very untidy, with dirty tables, food left on plates, and empty glasses remaining uncleared for long periods. On several occasionally and there was limited condiments available and the family member had to pop to the shop to purchase mayonnaise and there was a limited amount to choice regarding the food menu to several items were no available and we have had to repeatedly ask staff to clean tables before we could sit down.”

  “The service was amazing. There was 4 of us and we used table service and we had the same person, Peter every time. He was very customer focus, polite, had a laugh with us, Absolutely a brilliant server.”

  “Wanted to eat lunch, arrived at 11 a.m. was told could only order breakfast till half past. Had a train to catch but ordered as takeaway. Sticky Korean grilled chicken bowl with Mediterranean vegetables. Was gives the "bowl" in a pizza box--what a mess! Not provided anything to eat it with, was told they had no spoons or forks for takeaway.... Why they didn't say that when I ordered is beyond me! I would not have ordered. Got a spoon elsewhere and look and behold, go to eat my pizza box bowl and it is FRIED chicken, not grilled as I ordered and as stated on the menu!! Was not hot either and the vegetables looked like yesterday's leftovers, and contained a rock! Totally inept staff. Definitely DO NOT recommend.”

  “Really disappointed with the service. We ordered two desserts and waited around 40 minutes for them to arrive. When they finally came out, it was obvious they had been forgotten about as both were cold. I politely pointed it out, but the staff member’s attitude was poor instead of apologising, it came across as “do you even want it then?” which wasn’t helpful. Of course I wanted the desserts, just fresh and as expected. There was no apology at any point, even when the replacements were brought out. Overall, the experience felt careless and unprofessional. Definitely not the level of service you’d expect.”

  “Came here for some drinks and bit of food, ordered the 3 small plates nachos being one of them found 3 hairs all melted in with the cheese, lovely woman I spoke to took it back to get me a fresh plate. This wouldn’t happen if the kitchen wore hair nets which they weren’t at the time as saw the staff come out and go behind the bar to put them on after”

  “Breakfast is good and the staff are very attentive. It can get very busy in the evening. There is seating outside. It is close to the train station. Parking is a short walk away at the NCP which you have to pay for. The cheapest beer that you can find. Unfortunately, 2 out of 3 times they don't have cheese and onion crisps.”

  “⭐ 1 Star I ordered a muffin here and found a piece of plastic inside it — about the size of a finger, like part of a plastic bag or sauce wrapper. This was really disappointing and definitely not something you expect in your food. The place didn’t feel clean either: the table was dirty, there was no music or atmosphere, and overall it didn’t seem well looked after. I hope they improve their hygiene and quality control, but based on this experience, I can’t recommend it.”

  “Nice Tidy Venue, Staff were friendly and helpful when needed. Good selection if breakfast and food items on sale at affordable prices. Covid Guidelines still in place but optional. Good variety of drinks on sale too. Clean Toilets too, Only negative from me only 1 coffee machine working during morning breakfast busy time but other than that enjoyed my visit. Plenty of seating marked out”
