About The Grange Pub
The Grange Pub is a Cardiff pub at 134 Penarth Rd in Grangetown, less than ten minutes' walk from the back of Cardiff Central Station. The kitchen makes homemade pizza in a pizza oven in the garden, so the pub has its own wood-fired-style food offer for a drink and a meal in one stop. Sunday lunch is served as a roast. At the bar, draught and cask ales sit alongside bottled drinks. A big screen shows sport, including the rugby. Groups can book the private dining room, and dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the staff, describing them as friendly, welcoming and happy to chat, with one recalling how they managed a large group and another how they helped search for a missing cat and later looked after a family wake. The food comes close behind, with the fried chicken, the fried chicken burger, wings, chips, the homemade pizza from the garden pizza oven and the Sunday roast all named, plus some very good horseradish. Drinkers mention a great variety of draught and local cask ales, and pints recommended by the bar team. The beer garden gets repeated praise for its seating, partial cover, umbrellas and fairy lights in the evening, and the big screen for sport is also noted. One reviewer who otherwise rated it highly lost a star because the person bringing out the food was sullen and, when asked about cutlery, replied that it had to be fetched from the bar. One reviewer wanted similar fairy lighting indoors.

“The staff at the grange are incredible. My cat recently went missing and they not only posted on their social media and forwarded me any leads, but they also went out looking for her in the local area on their commute. I am so so grateful and I feel seriously blessed. Our cat came home yesterday, thank you all so much for your help. This pub really is a pillar of the local community”

“Service was quick & bar staff were great - they managed our large group, some with learning disabilities and speech issues in a very professional manner - star lost for service due to chap who brought out the food who was very sullen & when asked about cutlery just replied " you've gotta get your own ..... from the bar": factually correct, but unnecessarily blunt!!”

“Proper pub, traditional & cwtchy! Great variety of draught, and great choice of drinks. The staff are beyond amazing. They go above and beyond for customers, are so hard working and no matter how stressed/busy they are(especially around the rugby) you will always provide a smiling welcome. The beer garden is well kept with lots of seating, and has a partially covered patio area for if it starts to drizzle. Love the fairy lights in the evening, so would be great to have similar lighting inside too! Family who visit Cardiff on occasion always choose to go to this pub!”
