About Cafe Foy
Cafe Foy is an independent cafe and bar at 2 Quayside in Cambridge, right on the river Cam waterfront. Its 46-dish menu leans toward eggs, with shakshuka and feta alongside Turkish eggs with chickpeas and dates, and thick sourdough toast comes with dishes. Coffee includes cappuccino, and the drinks list adds wine, with both rosé and white on offer. The team will adapt the menu on request and recommend specials. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Shakshuka is the dish reviewers raise most, described as well balanced in flavour and beautifully seasoned, with the Welsh rarebit and Turkish eggs with chickpeas and dates close behind. Others praise the thick, fluffy bread, sourdough toast and the steak and cheesecake served at a private dinner. The staff come up in nearly every review as friendly and welcoming, with several noting they adapted the menu, whether cheese and ham toasties for kids, two fried eggs on toast, or off-menu specials that one diner called unbelievable. Seating by the river Cam gets repeated mention, along with good coffee, including a cappuccino with a hint of chocolate. The main caveat is the limited menu, which led one reviewer to say they probably would not return. A few also note it gets busy, that indoor seating is limited in poor weather, and that arriving on time or reserving is a good idea. One group's birthday was met with staff helping with the cake.

“Visited with my friend on our first time in Cambridge. It was a busy, sunny Saturday but they managed to seat us outside with a lovely view of the river. Food was outstanding, I had the shakshuka and it was scrumptious. My white wine was also lovely. It’s a great spot for people watching and spending some time watching the world go by.”

“Great Private Dinner! Thank you to the team at Café Foy for hosting our private company dinner. They set up a lovely table outside, and the sharing food was amazing, especially the beautifully cooked steak and the cheesecake. A great evening with great views. Thanks for having us!”

“Food was really nice! Turkish eggs with chickpeas and dates (our fave), another with chorizo, and shakshuka with feta. The rosé was very pleasant choice too. Loved the little table flowers! The standout was the staff; really a lovely, kind, and welcoming group of people. Came for a friend's birthday and they did everything they could. They were so nice and helped us with the cake, and really were genuinely caring during service. Very friendly, it's rare to have such a nice team ☺️ Will be returning! Clearly a good business to support 👍”
