Customer Review Summary

Cannoli come up most often, with reviewers praising the chocolate filled pistachio version and noting both small and large sizes. Close behind is the breakfast, where the Gusto Breakfast is described as a Full English with an Italian twist, and an omelette and toast are called great. Reviewers also single out the cortado, almond milk latte, espresso and homemade pastries, and several mention a fresh side salad, good vegetarian options and friendly staff. One reviewer enjoyed the chicken and veg borek but found the top burnt and disliked white bread at the price. The sharpest complaint is a two-star account of a dry, flavorless sandwich, an acidic sauce on the salad, uncovered pastries with flies and a wasp, and a ten minute wait to be noticed when no one said to order at the counter. That reviewer also describes a waitress biting her fingers. Another reviewer calls the looping Tarantella Napoletana music ear-piercing, and one mentions a male toilet needing repair. Pavement tables sit right on a fairly busy road, while the indoor sofa is called very comfortable.

“We had an amazing Gusto Breakfast. Kind of Full English, but with Italian twist. Refreshing, filling, tasted just as good as it looked 🤤”

“That homemade pastry and specialty coffee really hit the spot this morning, and Doniyor's communication with customers was awesome! I'll definitely be back when I'm in Cambridge again.”

“We were late for breakfast, so I missed the chance to try their Gusto special one. But it looks good on paper. Nevertheless the omelette I had and the toast the other person with me had were great. Hot drinks were also very good - cortado and almond milk latte we had. You also get a big glass of tap water if you ask for it. We were seating in a very comfortable sofa. The only negative for me was the male toilet which could do with a bit of repair. Overall a very good experience and tasty food. Would definitely come again and would certainly recommend.”

“A lovely café in a very central location. Wide range of sandwiches, treats, etc. Prices are average for Cambridge. Plenty of seating. A heartfelt tip: please do your customers a favour and change this awful music (Tarantella Napoletana) that plays on a continuous loop. You don't even hear this kind of thing in Italy. And even if you did, it would stop at some point. I have never experienced such a beautiful café with such completely inappropriate, ear-piercing fairground music.”
