  “Beautiful experience. Despite it is a small space, the food is delicious. I was here for the Nick Cave's concert and stopped by because he said it is his favorite place to eat in Brighton. I didn't have any regrets at all. Gorgeous view and atmosphere.”

  “After 4 hrs non stop driving, needed good food. Nanima was the first place I saw in Kemp town. I liked the inviting and light space and that the menu was new every day. The owner talked me through the menu. All looked delicious. A spicy bean and mushroom stew with coconut spiced basmati rice was astonishing. Fantastic flavour and freshess. A slice of tortilla with a Thai style dressing was also lovely. Fresh juices too. I loved this food. Healthy, tasty and beautiful to look at. Took away a jar of homemade spiced and preserved lemon and lime. Can't wait to try this too. Faultless cooking and welcoming people who are happy to chat. Daily changing menu of freshest ingredients. Great jazz and blues playlist from vinyl I believe was a winner. Love this place and will return every time I visit Kemp town. Thanks nanima”

  “I cannot recommend this amazing cafe enough! The food was utterly delicious, all made fresh that day by Nicky and bursting with flavour. I tried the samosas, laksa, and chai and everything was so so tasty and nourishing. With the menu changing every day, it's so impressive that they offer such a variety of inventive, colourful dishes, with lots of veggie options too! The cherry on top is the exceptional service, Lonnie is so welcoming and informative about each dish - the owners are just delightful. Cozy setting with great music too, such a gem!!!”

  “An absolute delight to be in Nanima whenever I visit Brighton. This time I booked a room nearby just to be able to have my lunch here every day. Food is delicious and prepared with love by Nikki (hope I spell the name correctly!). Every day it’s a different menu so you’ll never get bored. I love the atmosphere and gentle presence of Loni. I feel home here - having warm food, chatting with Loni and Nikki who own a place, having an occasional conversation with regulars, sipping hot chai, writing my notes, just being. For me it’s the heart of my every visit ♥️🍜🍲”

Lonnie and his wife have cultivated a unique dining experience where there is no fixed menu, meaning that every time you go, you get a surprise.
