  “I was waiting patiently at the bar, stone cold sober. Barmaid made me wait ages & when it was my turn she went to serve someone else who was after me in the queue. When I said something about it she refused to serve me. Her attitude stank & I will never go back to the Mucky Duck. Although other people say they had a good time in there, this was not my experience. Establishments should realise its about how they treat their customers, they're there to serve the customers & we're the ones paying their wages. They're there for our convenience, not the other way round.”

  “A great find in Kemptown. Old style decor which is lovely and cosy. Super bar staff, seats available but best to reserve a table as it gets very busy. Delicious Thai menu. Highly recommended.”

  “I can't speak for the rooms because I only used the bar and the restaurant. The bar is nice and cosy the food is Thai and absolutely fantastic. The cost is also very reasonable. The choice of beer and the bar is also excellent.”

  “One of my favourite pubs in Brighton. Super cozy and welcoming. I tried the food here over the weekend and it blew my mind. They clearly have a Thai chef in the kitchen because that was hands down the best Thai food I have tasted outside of Thailand and it was very affordable. Can't recommend it enough. Will be thinking about that Thai green curry for a long time to come!”

  “What a little gem! We only called in for a pint whilst passing. Little did we know it served food, let alone Thai food. We had a look at the menu whilst having a drink as you do. The menu looked amazing and at such a fantastic price (especially for Brighton). So we ordered, WOW, we were not disappointed. The portions were plentiful and so delicious. This really solved the dilemma of where are we going to eat tonight. The pub itself is a lovely cosy bolt hole, and it was happy hour too which was an added bonus. I would fully recommend The Mucky Duck, and if I'm ever back in Brighton will definitely be calling back.”

  “Love the staff, very friendly. Vegan wellington 80% root veg and same texture/flavour. Cooked OK. I would have liked more variety and some protein. I love gravy. It was swimming and where the table was too small for 6 people it became difficult to eat. The noise and congestion in the pub was overwhelming. People generally shouting to people next to them to be heard. Our table was against a wall on the right where there just wasn’t enough space. I like the pub and want to rate it better, but the experience I had wasn’t good for these reasons. I feel like some tables should have less people, and maybe they can do something about the acoustics of the space if they are going to seat that many people in it”
