Customer Review Summary

Food quality is the recurring complaint, and it is divided. Several describe dry or tasteless chicken, overly salty meats on a sharing platter, and rice that seemed microwaved. One says the grilled chicken was like plastic and the fries tasted left over, another found the meat burnt and rubbery. The lamb and chicken kofta kebabs were singled out as full of flavour, while the stuffed vine leaves had little rice. Value draws criticism too, with a platter for three called expensive, mostly dry rice and shawarma, and two kebabs missing. One diner was told a half chicken with hummus and salad could not be ordered as a simple request, and a delivery order that ran late was cancelled with a promised refund that never arrived.

“Absolutely appalling, the food was very off, we ordered grilled chicken and it was like plastics , the fries were clearly left over from the day before so dry and off. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I was very disappointed because few years ago it was fresh with good quality. It’s gone down hill, they literally sold us food probably from the day before, or was frozen and reheated twice.”

“On friday the 24th April I placed an order via uber eats. When the order was 20minutes after the arrival time I called the restaurant to ask where the order was, they said the driver was a * few minutes away* . I waited another 10minutes and contacted them again they asked to give more time as the driver was on the way. They said it was delayed because if friday prayer time and it had been busy. I had a school pick up and could not wait any longer, really frustrated by the delays and being told incorrect waiting times. I spoke to ALI at the restaurant who apologised. I said I could not wait for the order any longer and to cancel. He AGREED and said I WOULD BE REFUNDED. Uber took my payment anyway!! I contacted uber who said they couldn't help so I am writing this review expecting Ali or someone from the restaurant to contact me and update me about my refund which they agreed to. I am so disappointed and I will not allow this matter to rest until I am refunded. ** please note bader restaurant the payment came out if my account from a place called YUM YUM SHAWARMA * which has reportedly been closed since November 2025? I initially posted this review on their website and have then realised this is not baders restaurant?”

“Great atmosphere and service. But the food was abysmal. Chicken was dry and tasteless. Lamb was boring and the rice was as if they've been microwave. They need to step up their game as they, currently, cannot be considered as proper Lebanese restaurant”

“🟢The fattoush salad was excellent and fresh, except the menu says comes with pomegranate, but doesn't have pomegranate. 🟢The chicken shawarma was excellent, and the lamb shawarma was excellent. 🟢the chips fried in clean oil. 🔵The garlic sauce was good, not bad. 🔴The yellow sauce was bad, I don't know what is it 🔴The mango juice wasn't fresh. 🔴The vine leaves was very little rice inside the stuffed vegetables, and the taste wasn't good. 🔴The toilet is very small; I almost got a touch the top .”

“£46 for 'Platter For 3' is expensive. Turns out mostly dry rice and shawarma, missing 2 kebabs. Wasn't enough for two so had to make extra food as fasted all day and this was meant to be a treat.”
