Customer Review Summary
The platter for six and similar sharing platters draw the most praise, with reviewers describing well-cooked, flavorful meats, good variety, and generous portions that were sometimes too much to finish. Close behind, the shawarma gets singled out as well seasoned and not greasy, and the mixed grill and charcoal grill also draw repeat recommendations. Several mention private family rooms, a free chocolate konafa or in-house tea offered on the house, and one diner traveling from Manchester specifically for the food. A few note smaller complaints: one reviewer felt portion size lacked lamb cubes with an Uber Eats order, and another flagged that the seating area's cleanliness didn't match the kitchen's quality. More seriously, one reviewer describes repeated discomfort after a male staff member entered her private room and positioned himself in a way she felt was trying to see her face despite her wearing a niqab, and says no apology was given when her husband raised it, leading her to say she would not return. Otherwise, reviewers repeatedly mention being handed free tea or dessert after a meal.

“⭐⭐⭐☆☆ 3/5 I used to love this restaurant and it was one of my favourite places to eat. The food is genuinely amazing, and the restaurant itself is beautiful and welcoming. However, I have had a very disappointing experience regarding privacy and respect for niqabi women. While some of the staff have always been respectful and professional, there was one male staff member whose behaviour made me feel extremely uncomfortable. We were seated in a private room, yet he repeatedly entered and positioned himself in a way that appeared to be an attempt to see my face despite knowing that I wear a niqab. This made me feel upset and uncomfortable. Unfortunately, this is not the first time I have experienced this issue at this restaurant. My husband confronted him about his behaviour, but no apology was given. What could have been resolved with a sincere apology instead left me feeling disrespected and unwelcome. It is a real shame because I genuinely love the food and have recommended this restaurant in the past. However, due to this experience, I will not be returning, and neither will my family. I hope management takes concerns about customer privacy and religious observance seriously so that other sisters do not have a similar experience.”

“Such a beautiful hotspot for Syrian food. Visited this place with family and it was such a lovely experience. We had our own private room which was perfect. The family ladies were so more comfortable. We purchased the platter for 3 with drinks. Despite our best efforts, we couldn't finish it. There was just so much in the platter. Such a great variety. Lamb, chicken, rice, lamb shank, fries and many more. The people are so nice and welcoming. They had a lovely fountain inside giving it the middle eastern vibe. Would highly recommend.”

“We ordered via Uber Eats for the family. The food was really delicious, with the rice cooked perfect. I took the option of having the lamb cubes (forgot what it was called) myself with rice. The fries were cooked good too. My partner ordered the Sea Bass, which I also took a nibble on, and found it was cooked perfect aswell. Overall good review and well recommended, however I did take a star off for the portion size we got, it lacked lamb cubes and was mainly rice.”
