About Chaii Garden Birmingham
Chaii Garden Birmingham is a takeout restaurant on poets corner in Birmingham, built around a park-and-dine format where staff bring food and desserts out to your car. Customers order at a hatch reached through a tunnel entrance lit with lights, then wait in their vehicle while the team carries the order across the car park. The menu pairs chai with pani puri, and desserts include the Matilda cake with ice cream. Everything is collected at the car rather than in a dining room. The kitchen stays open till late, which makes it a late-night stop for a hot drink or something sweet.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers mostly come for the in-car setup, where staff bring food out to the parked car, and several call the service smooth, efficient or quick. The Matilda cake with ice cream draws the strongest praise, described as rich, warm and chocolatey against the cold ice cream. Others single out the chai as rich and full of flavour, and one calls the tea and desserts delicious. One reviewer found the other dishes fresh with generous portions, while another calls the servings extremely stingy and says the place suits those not in a rush. The complaints are specific. One diner describes dry brisket that looked like crushed cornflakes on fries, soggy nachos, and tea with sugar after asking for none, and found the crowded car park uncomfortable. Another says the small car park left people struggling to manoeuvre large cars, and mentions staff with trousers falling down, while a third saw some looking half asleep. One regular asks for a plastic cover at the ordering hatch, since rain soaks the car and arm while ordering.

“I go often. Food and drink are good. Service great! But one thing i would say. When it rains, it pours. So please at the hatch when ordering at the tunnel. Get some type of plastic cover so im not getting my car and arm wet trying to order lol. Even the parking spots by the toilet get a plastic sheeting there.”

“Chaii Gardens is a great spot for a proper chai run. It’s drive-through only, so you park up and wait in your car for your order — a unique setup that works really well. The chai is excellent, rich and full of flavour, and the food is very good — fresh, tasty, and definitely worth it. Everything we had was spot on. Service is smooth and efficient, and overall it’s a really convenient and enjoyable experience. A top place to visit when you want quality chai and food on the go. 🚗☕”
