  “⭐️ 1 Star – Absolutely Disgusting Experience Honestly, one of the worst experiences I’ve had at a venue. The level of rudeness, arrogance and complete lack of customer service was shocking. Let’s start with the hygiene. I was served a drink in a filthy glass with a FLY actually inside it. Yes, you read that correctly — a fly was in my drink. When I complained, rather than being horrified or apologising properly, the response from staff was essentially that this is “expected” because it’s an open rooftop. Apparently, having an open roof is now an excuse for serving customers drinks with insects floating around in them. What made the response even more ridiculous was being told that they could apparently see flies on their 4K cameras. Yet when I asked whether there were flies around the area where I had been sitting, they refused to tell me. If you can supposedly see flies on your cameras, surely you should be able to establish whether there were flies around the table where a customer had just been served a drink containing one? And as if the experience couldn’t get any worse, we were also offered drugs while there. Completely inappropriate and extremely concerning. The way the complaint was handled was equally appalling. Staff were presenting themselves as managers, and I was left waiting around just to speak to someone who was actually in a position to deal with the situation. There was no genuine concern about the hygiene issue, no acceptable explanation and certainly no level of customer service you would expect from a venue charging customers for drinks. A fly in a customer's glass should never be treated as “expected”. It should be treated as a serious hygiene issue. The combination of disgusting glassware, a fly in my drink, rude staff, ridiculous excuses and being offered drugs made this one of the most unpleasant experiences I’ve had at a venue. I would NOT recommend Henman & Cooper to anyone and I certainly won’t be returning. Absolutely disgusting. Do better. Horrified at the response from management and owner in relation to my concerns also falsifying facts to cover its unhygenic venue. Absolutely disgrace.”

  “Would have given more stars but smoking allowed on roof top area which spoiled it for us. Not even tapes, cigarettes and smelly smoke, disappointing. Otherwise fab cocktails, DJ on the tunes and plenty of stools and tables , oh and doorman JB hilarious , genuinely. I can only recommend yo go if you are a smoker sadly.”

  “Spent the late afternoon at the rooftop. Great atmosphere & above all the DJ was amazing. His range of tunes & ability to read the crowd was top drawer. Playing lots of old skool bangers which we loved & really mixed it up. he was bopping away himself demonstrating how much he loves his work. Please use him every week! 5 stars.”

  “We’ve been coming here every couple of weeks and the service is always great. Dennel is always so welcoming and provides the best service. Kira the bar back is always so lovely and always looking after all the staff. Would highly recommend!!”

  “Was in on last Saturday night and had the pleasure of being served by Emmy and Katelynn. Both super welcoming and friendly! Buffet food was lovely as well.”

  “Very disappointing experience from the moment we arrived. My partner was refused entry because he was wearing a cross-body bag, while I was allowed in despite also wearing a cross-body bag. The only apparent difference was that he is male. If the issue was the way the bag was being worn, the bouncer could have simply explained the policy politely or asked him to carry it differently. Instead, it was only after my partner questioned the decision that any explanation was given. The whole interaction came across as discriminatory. Unfortunately, things didn’t improve once inside. The woman at the ticket desk seemed to have a bad attitude towards me and aggressively stamped my hand. At that point, we were left wondering what we had done wrong. The whole experience felt unwelcoming and hostile. Customer service costs nothing, and a little politeness and professionalism would have made a huge difference. Sadly, based on this experience, we won’t be returning.”

  “The perfect little spot when the sun was shining! Shouldn’t really be telling everyone as it’s not the biggest of roof tops, but when the weather is as good as bank holiday weekend the vibe just fits so well. Dj, rooftop, great choice of drinks which are all for a reasonable price.”

  “Last week, I visited Henman & Cooper with my girlfriend. We were on the first floor, and unfortunately, I dropped my wallet without realizing it. The money inside didn’t matter to me. What truly worried me was a photo of my mom, who passed away last month. That picture means everything to me. In the middle of a busy crowd, I stopped a staff member named kieran (or kiran ), who was collecting glasses, and asked for help. Even though the place was packed, he immediately checked the entire floor. After some time, he found my wallet and returned it to me. I offered him money as a thank-you, but he politely refused and said, “This is our job, sir.” He even asked if I was happy. That moment meant a lot to me. I honestly can’t forget his kindness. The bar itself was amazing. The rooftop vibe, the bartenders, and the entire staff were friendly and welcoming. It’s a fantastic place to relax on weekends, and I’ll definitely be coming back regularly. Thank you to the entire team for such an incredible experience, especially kieran or kiran . I truly appreciate it.”

  “Only popped in for one very good Beavertown Neck Oil. The price was typical for the location (around £6.50); service was fine, but I thought that the atmosphere was a little subdued. Strange really, when other bars were buzzing or closed for private functions. Might return and give the rooftop terrace a visit.”

  “Great little cocktail bar/pub. Great drinks and love the fact they have a long happy hour on beers and cocktails. Nice place. Quiet and contemporary. Great for a few drinks before carrying on.”
