Customer Review Summary

Friendly staff are the most common draw at this Spoons, with several reviewers pairing them with good food and great prices. One describes a bartender who shared tips about the area, and another says staff stayed friendly and explained the delay on a busy Saturday morning. Reviewers also call the pub very big, with well-spaced tables, a relaxed atmosphere and table service out to the front seating in the sunshine. Service is the main complaint. One reviewer found a server sour and unwelcoming, another says front of house staff seemed stressed and unprofessional, and drinks took 30 minutes to arrive. Food gets mixed reactions, from lovely and acceptable to generic frozen food at a high price. One diner asked for the table to be cleared and only the plates were taken, and the cocktail they ordered came out of a can.

“Food was acceptable because it's what I expected. Service way bellow the expectation, FoH Staff were stressed and unprofessional. This is first time when I experience this at the Wetherspoon pubs. 30 minutes for a drinks is a bit much even though it was busy.”

“Good food, friendly staff, and quick service. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the prices were great for the quality. A nice place to stop for a meal or a drink. Would definitely visit again.”

“Me and my friend went in the 26th June, the food was lovely.. but they didn't remove the dirty glasses and empty. Plus ordered a cocktail, but it came out of a can... we had to ask for the table to be cleared, but they just took away our plates..so i won't be going there again.”

“Was here twice on same day. Everything was great but.... I went in for food and drink at 6pm. Was served by a blonde girl who I actually felt like I was troubling her. No hello, scowl on her face, banged tge drink on the counter. I felt very unwelcome. I review a lot of places here on Google but never yet had service like it. She was dressed like a lady of the night in a vest top with a tattoo Nathan on her left shoulder. No thankyou, no nothing from her. If she was having a bad day, maybe she should have stayed at home and rang in sick. I sat at my table and was unclear view of her. It was not just me. She was so sour with all tge customers. Sorry management but maybe pull her aside. Tge girl that was behind the bar with her was the complete opposite. Friendly and welcoming. This would deter me from returning.”
