“Zoe and her team pulled out all the stops last Saturday evening, 22nd August 2026. My grand daughter was married in the morning, but needed a venue for the evening celebrations. We knew of the function room upstairs at the Old Kings Head, and it was ideal. We had an outside caterer to provide the buffet, but came in the day before to decorate the room. No need...Zoe had already set out the tables and decorated with the chosen wedding colours. Tables for the buffet were also ready. The function room bar was well-stocked and plenty of staff serving, to avoid the usual queues at the bar. Access to the toilets is the only down-side if mobility is a problem, as the stairs are quite steep. In a building as old as gbis one”

“Myself and my partner walked into this pub and straight away loved it, the owner was busy decorating the lovely old worldly pub. We started talking then locals came in and we really enjoyed there friendliness, shame we had to leave early to catch the last bus. Will be back tomorrow, so please give the lovely old pub and visit 😊”
