About Bridge Inn
The Bridge Inn is a village pub in Belper, on Duffield Bank, right on the River Derwent in Duffield, and visitors can bring their dogs along. The bar and the dining area are separate spaces. Drinks are poured in the bar, and sit-down meals are served in the dining area. The kitchen cooks steaks and grills alongside pub classics and modern British dishes, with a roast on the menu. Fish and chips and a chicken salad are served at lunch. At the bar, cask beers share space with cocktails and a non-alcoholic gin, and staff serve both at the bar and at the table. Music plays in the afternoon. A veggie burger rounds out the menu for those who skip meat.

Customer Review Summary
Diners most often single out friendly, attentive service, from servers at the table to bartenders who made cocktails, with several describing the staff as welcoming and helpful. Food comes close behind. A steak cooked exceptionally well with lovely chips, sea bass, a rainbow salad, fish and chips and a chicken salad are all praised. Reviewers also mention well kept beers poured at the right temperature, a non-alcoholic gin, and live music on a summer afternoon. The criticism is less frequent but detailed. One diner found the lettuce and coleslaw past their best, was surprised by dill dressing in a veggie burger that the menu did not mention, and received only a half-hearted apology. The same reviewer said a discount voucher was refused over the bank holiday weekend and called the advertising misleading. Another described the food as mass produced though well priced, and disliked the tin cans in the car park. One returning diner used the mains voucher and ordered the same sea bass and rainbow salad two weeks running.

“I would like to express my disappointment with The Bridge Inn at Duffield, we went for a meal yesterday evening with the 40% off voucher, only to be told it wasn't valid over the Bank holiday weekend, we did discover this later in the terms and conditions but their advertising was very misleading and in our opinion it was to encourage diners in with the offer! Many other diners in our area during the time we were in tried to use the voucher, so I'm sure there had been many more during the day! Also when our server collected our plates and enquired if our meals had been ok, I showed her a sticker that was mixed in with my veg and that my daughters lettuce and coleslaw were definitely past their best, also she has an aversion to Dill and nowhere in the menu did it say dill dressing was used in the veggie burger, so all in all the meal was very unpleasant, we only got a half hearted sorry, we have frequented this pub many times, even though service leaves a lot to be desired, we have always enjoyed the food but we are now very hesitant to dine there again,”

“We were welcomed warmly as usual. Shown to our table promptly. We chose our favourite dishes again: rainbow salad and Sea Bass. They were both well presented and delicious! We also ordered this the week before as well. We used the 40% mains which represented great value. I had the non-alcoholic gin which is my favourite. A great experience. Special thanks to Leigh our waitress and chef Jim and Connor the week before!”

“Meet, eat, drink and chat with family and friends at The Bridge Inn in Duffield, a village pub right on the River Derwent. Relax with a drink in the bar and eat there. Or step over to the dining area with a proper pub meal. Our steaks and grills are super tender and full of flavour. We love pub classics and modern British meals as well. And our roast? It'll be the highlight of your Sunday!”
