About The Hunters Arms
The Hunters Arms is a bar at 23 Church St in Belper that pours Pimms on tap, served with a spoon for the fruit. The drinks list also includes real ales, among them Bass, along with gins, cocktails and non-alcoholic options. Food stays simple, with charcuterie boards and sharing platters on a short menu, plus nachos and a New York deli cob. The bar is mainly an adult space. Children may sit with a responsible adult in the raised area until 7pm. Large groups, stag parties and hen parties are not permitted, and coach parties need prior arrangement. The team also dresses up for Halloween and Christmas, with fancy dress and decorations for both.

Customer Review Summary
Charcuterie boards and cheeseboards draw the most praise, with reviewers describing a mountain of food, great sharing platters and huge portions. Close behind are the New York deli cob, called very large, plus nachos and custom tubs of nuts. Drinkers single out the Bass ale, a good range of real ales, gins and cocktails, and Pimms on tap. The rear beer garden and undercover courtyard are repeatedly described as lovely, table service is mentioned when it gets busy, and the staff are consistently called friendly and polite. Several reviewers were visiting for the first time and say they will be back. The only complaint comes from one reviewer, who finds the music really old and something to put up with because it is a great pub. Others mention the Halloween and Christmas fancy dress, and one notes the Pimms arrives with a spoon for eating the fruit.

“I've lived in Belper most of my life, it's my first time visiting the Hunters Arms. What a wonderful gem of a place to visit. I didn't expect the interior to be so absolutely beautiful from the outside. We had a newyork deli cob which was wonderful and very large. The pimms on tap was amazing, you even get a spoon to eat the fruit after. The staff are very friendly. The other food items coming out looked amazing too. We will certainly be back.”

“Not much to add that hasn't been already mentioned. What does set this pub apart is the very friendly service both by the staff and the management. The pub loves Halloween and Christmas fancy dress! Wonderfully decorated and great range of drinks. The cheeseboards are something else😋. Enjoy. M”
