Audacity Coffee
About Audacity Coffee
Audacity Coffee is a coffee shop on Beersbridge Road in Belfast, built around oversized pork and chorizo sausage rolls that run far larger than the average one, big enough to share, and come with chilli jam on the side. Coffee is the other half of the draw, with espresso drinks including lattes and cappuccinos, and cookies turn up as a recurring treat in dark chocolate with sea salt and tahini versions. The space is very small, with seating in the window, and orders are placed at the counter rather than at the table, so expect to join a queue instead of booking a seat. Two staff work the counter between them. A step-free entrance means visitors with mobility needs can get in without a threshold to negotiate, and dogs are welcome alongside their owners. The doors open daily through the daytime, so it works as a morning or midday stop rather than an evening one.

Customer Review Summary
Coffee is what brings people back, described repeatedly as probably the best in Belfast, whether that is a caramel oat latte made exactly as one regular likes it or a cappuccino that arrived genuinely hot. Close behind are the sausage rolls, the pork and chorizo version singled out for flaky pastry and a sweet, barbecuey chilli jam on the side, and several reviewers warn they are so enormous that one could be shared. Also praised are the warmed cinnamon roll, the dark chocolate cookies with sea salt, the tahini cookies, and a vegan sausage roll one reviewer says could pass for pork. The two who run the place draw as much comment as the food, called genuine, chatty and great craic. One visiting tourist tells a different story, arriving with children, asking how ordering worked and being told to join the queue in unfriendly terms, though they put it down to a possible bad day. Regulars mention dogs being welcome and sitting in the window watching the world go by.

“Visiting tourist looking forward to visit and support an independent. Arrived with kids and asked if we had to sit down and then order or how it worked. Was asked by the person behind the counter to join the (swear) queue. Not too friendly. Kids taken aback. Oh the Audacity! Hopefully just a bad day or mis understanding.”

“Probably best coffee in Belfast and those cookies with tahini are hard to beat. Lads who run it are genuine as well. Always worth a stop.”
