About Nine Squared Belfast
Nine Squared Belfast is a coffee shop in Belfast at 33 Queen St, serving coffee from Origin alongside pastries from Bakari. The almond croissant is one of the pastries on offer. Drinks run beyond coffee to a matcha latte and chai, and there is a choice of milks. The menu sits on the countertop, so it comes into view once a customer reaches the front of the queue. Magazines are available to read over a coffee. The shop runs as a daytime counter operation.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the coffee, with a flat white called fantastic and several calling it some of the best in Belfast, backed by Origin beans. Close behind come the pastries, where the almond croissant is praised as really good and the peanut butter and jam pastry as incredible. Others mention a decent matcha latte. The staff draw repeated praise as friendly, welcoming and quick with recommendations, and diners describe a lovely, relaxed space with magazines to read and Christmas decorations. Criticism is mild but specific. One reviewer found the chai flat despite a little spice and chocolate powder on top, and another found the almond croissant filling too sweet. One would like pastries warmed in winter, and another found the small menu on the countertop hard to see until reaching the front of the queue. One early-morning visitor appreciated getting breakfast there, and a returning customer was greeted with a friendly question about the day's plans.

“Quite simply the best coffee in Belfast, and one of the best coffees I’ve ever had. The quality is exceptional, the atmosphere is great and the staff are fantastic. The owner is genuinely passionate about coffee and it really shows in both the service and the product. If you’re a coffee lover, this place is an absolute must visit. I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.”

“Excellent specialty coffee shop serving proper croissants and delicious speciality coffee. They are also open early in the morning which was great for me when I needed breakfast. The almond croissant was great - I found the filling to be a little too sweet for my personal taste, however the flat white was fantastic. I liked how there were magazines to read while you had your coffee”

“We visited a while back and keep talking about this coffee shop, so here I am finally writing my review! Excellent service, and wonderful drinks and treats! The shop is also beautiful. Refined, but cozy! We would fly back from Texas to enjoy this third space another time. Thanks again!”

“A lovely spot with great coffee and a relaxed atmosphere. I had their matcha latte, which I’d say was a pretty decent one. It would be nice if they warmed up some of the pastries, especially in winter but overall, it was a good experience.”
