About Oliver's Belmont Road
An all-day breakfast fry lands at the centre of the menu at Oliver's Belmont Road, a coffee shop on Belmont Road in Belfast, with potato bread and black pudding on the plate whatever the hour. Coffee gets equal attention, and oat milk options run through the espresso drinks including an oat mocha. The bakery counter adds scones in flavours such as raspberry white chocolate, alongside cinnamon buns and tray bakes. Brunch plates fill out the rest of the list, with poached eggs and avocado and French toast that takes bacon as a paid extra. Dogs are welcome inside, so walkers along the road can settle in rather than tie up outside. No booking is needed, and the team brings orders to the table once you have found a seat. The kitchen opens daily. Chips also come out of it for anyone after something beyond the breakfast and bakery side.

Customer Review Summary
Coffee is the draw that recurs most, with regulars singling out the smoothest oat milk cappuccinos week after week and one visitor praising an oat mocha for balancing bitter and sweet. Close behind is the breakfast, an all day fry described as fresh without leaving a greasy feeling, alongside potato bread and black pudding that one first time visitor rated the best tasted. Bakes also come up, a raspberry white chocolate scone, a cinnamon bun and tray bakes, and several note the chips. Dog owners repeatedly mention being welcomed inside, and one describes the room as quiet. The complaints are pointed. One diner found the portions mean, a single piece of bread hard as a brick with two poached eggs and avocado, and bacon charged by the slice without the menu saying so. Another describes the owner stomping around and moving customers along once they have finished. One reviewer reports a relative became ill after gluten free French toast, citing cross contamination.

“The food was very tasty but it is very small portions. For £10.50 you get one small piece of bread which was hard as a brick, 2 poached eggs and avocado. One slice of bacon is £2 extra. The menu doesn’t even stipulate that it is one slice. You can get an entire packet for £2. I wouldn’t come back here, I had to come home and get some more lunch…that is a shame as if they offered decent portions it would be worth it. I have never had avocado and eggs with only one slice of bread. That’s a bit miserable.”

“I had breakfast here this morning, and the raspberry white chocolate scone was love at first bite. The oat mocha struck a perfect balance of bitter and sweet. I was happy with the service, and the quiet, cozy atmosphere made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be back with my husband next time.”
