About Yum Yum Thai Bath
At 17 Kingsmead Square in Bath, Yum Yum Thai Bath is a Thai restaurant where every wine on the list is organic, so the full Thai menu can be paired with a single style of wine. The kitchen cooks dishes from Isaan, including duck larb, and serves Som Tum (papaya salad) as a starter. Thai curries run to beef panang, along with red and green curries made with tofu and vegetables. Guests can sit inside or at the smaller set of tables outside. The restaurant opens daily.

Customer Review Summary
Som Tum leads the praise, with reviewers describing Isaan flavours that taste like eating back in Thailand, alongside duck larb and grilled pork neck. Pork skewers come up close behind. Crispy pork belly with chilli sauce, beef panang curry, Tom Kha prawns, and red and green curries with tofu also earn mentions. Reviewers repeatedly describe the staff as friendly and attentive, the food as fresh and authentic, and the prices as reasonable, with quick service and plenty of seating inside and out. The criticism is limited but specific. One diner found the pad thai bland and disappointing, said the panang could use more heat, and reported that their daughter had an upset stomach later. The same reviewer wondered whether the food was made to order, since it reached the table while they were away in the bathroom. One birthday diner enjoyed lunch so much that they returned the next evening for beef noodle soup, som tum and pork skewers.

“Had a wonderful weekend in bath, ate at The Circus, Sotto Sotto, Bread Kitchen and also here at Yum Yum. It was absolutely superb and one of the best meals we had all weekend on par with The Circus. I had crispy pork belly with peppers and onions in a chilli sauce with rice and fried egg, Mrs has a fried rice witb egg / chicken dish. They were both super tasty and service was excellent. If you like Thai food you have to try this place and will be first on my list to visit when we return to Bath. Ironically was also the cheapest meal of the whole weekend as well! Cannot rate this place enough.”

“One of the best Thai restaurants I've visited in the UK. If you're in Bath, it's definitely worth a visit. The staff are friendly, the food is excellent, and the desserts are beautifully presented. Prices are very reasonable, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. Easily a 5/5.”

“I had a great dinner here, and would absolutely go back. My meal was delicious, and it came out very quickly. The staff were so friendly. Every single person there was clearly ready to jump in if anyone needed something, and I felt very well taken care of. There is limited outdoor seating, and more seating inside if that’s your preference. I would gladly return in the future.”

“So yummy, well priced, central, plenty of seating, really friendly staff, quick service, food served hot, prefect portion sizes and every dish we tried had a fresh and fragrant taste. We had the prawn crackers, gyozas, corn fritters and both the red and green Thai curry with tofu and veggies. Iced lemon teas. 10/10 😋”

“The Food: The Isaan Thai food here is absolutely incredible. We ordered the Som Tum with fermented fish sauce and Duck larb “very spicy”, but you can have it however spicy you want! As you can see from my photos, all the ingredients are visibly fresh and exactly like the original. It tastes just like what we’ve been craving and truly feels like eating back in Thailand! The Som Tum, Duck Larb, and grilled pork neck are spot on. The Atmosphere & Service: The restaurant has plenty of space to sit comfortably in and out. We visited on a really warm day like today, and having the air con on made the experience so refreshing. The staff are also fantastic—really welcoming and attentive. - Even the toilet was really clean and smelled great from the lighting candles, showing how much care they put into the whole place. Value: Prices are very reasonable, even after a bit of an inclusive service charge which we were more than happy to pay for such great hospitality. Highly recommend if you want genuine Isaan Thai flavors!”
