  “We made a booking yesterday on the phone and when we arrived they had forgot to reserve us the table. They came back from the garden and said they found a booth instead which we thought was nice. When we arrived at the booth there was ketchup spread over the table and vommit in the corner !! Instantly put off we sat on a bench instead. The lady said she would come outside and take our order but she never did come. There was a singer on yesterday, the music was pericingly loud and I cant say anyone looked as though they throughly enjoyed it. Considering the singer brought a friend or co worker with her she didnt think to tell her turn the music slightly lower to hear vocals. Unfortunately we did not stay we were very disappointed. The only good thing I can say in this review is the interior is beautiful and well thought of. Its a shame we couldn't get any food but I was put off from the vomit I stepped in.”

  “Excellent meal at the Horse and Jockey, Bentley. Lovely surroundings, lovely countryside and the food was cooked to perfection : soft vegetables ; roast carrots; roast parsnip; cauliflower cheese and extra beef gravy separate veg. Price £14 for a small adult meal or £17 a large one. The £14 meal still came with all the above. We go out for meals a lot, especially on Sundays, this was one of the best we've had. Lovely beer garden, alfresco eating area and even a camp site with electric hook up.”

  “We walked to the horse & jockey, decided to have food outside. The beer garden was lovely but unfortunately the cider & Guinness was warm served from beer garden bar. We ordered food which looked nice on other peoples plates. I had the chicken kebab which worried me a lot as the chicken pieces looked so small, like sparrows, it was never worth £18. My other family members had the jockey burger unfortunately all were disappointed with this too, not worth the money at all. Such a shame as we took a lovely walk & really wanted to support this local pub”

  “Food was superb However table booked for 1pm, we arrived a little earlier. Had our main, just about to order a dessert and was told we had to vacate the table in 15mins. No time for a coffee or another drink. Simply 45min slot Cancelles dessert and left. When i booked at no point wasi told any of this.”

  “We went for a meal as a larger group. The menu was a good size with plenty of options, including some plant based options 🌱 The food was lovely and hearty and our server was very friendly. Only downside was how quiet it was as we were the only table in there. We did visit on a week night though. …”

  “Went there with my dog and had some drinks, the vibe of the place is so cosy and friendly. You'd never expect it to be so nice from the outside. The new management have done such a brilliant job. Worth a visit, go you wont be disappointed.”
