About Amington
Amington is a pub on Amington Rd in Tamworth, refurbished by Greene King with a lighter, brighter interior. The kitchen works through burgers, with a buy one get one free burger deal on Thursdays, plus gammon and a mixed grill served on a skillet. The Raspberry & white chocolate blondie sundae covers dessert. Orders go through the bar or an app, and table service is part of the setup. Wednesday is quiz night, and a dart board and pool table are in the pub for games. Live sport shows on Sky and TNT Sports screens, and an outdoor play area gives children somewhere to spend their time. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often praise the food, with the gammon, the Raspberry and White Chocolate Blondie Sundae and the burgers named repeatedly. Others mention the XL Mixed Grill, chicken tacos, and a half chicken with an 8oz steak cooked as asked. Food is described as arriving hot, fresh and quickly, and several call the prices cheap, with one noting a Thursday buy one get one free burger deal. Close behind is the friendly, helpful staff, and one diner with a disability says the chef cut her gammon on request. The refurbishment gets frequent credit for a lighter, brighter and cleaner room, and one wheelchair user highlights the new level access, ramp to the patio and accessible toilet. Families mention the outdoor play area, and the dart board and pool table also come up. On the downside, one reviewer says busy periods get loud enough to make conversation hard near the bar, and another waited a little while for meals. One diner calls the chicken dish faultless, and a son declares his burger the best he ever had.

“The staff were very helpful, we didn't have to wait long to be served, or to recieve the food, both my husband and myself had the gammon which was cooked just right. I have a disability so I asked if the chef would cut the gammon for me, & they did, which I was really greatful. We had the Raspberry & white chocolate blonde sundae for dessert, & yet again, it was delicious. Since the pub reopened, it's much brighter decor, & very welcoming. We will certainly be coming again & we will certainly be recommending it to our friends and family. Thank you to everyone. Amy was extremely helpful that served us, very polite and very professional. Also, Lucy who served us drinks afterwards. The staff made us very welcome & we will most definitely be visiting here again very soon.”
