Customer Review Summary
Diners most often praise value for money on pub food, naming the fish and chips deal with a drink, a hunters chicken panini, chicken wings, and a 3oz beef burger with chips, plus kids meals. Close behind are friendly, quick staff, even on busy Saturdays and during a St George celebration. Several like the order at table service and a cold, cheap pint, and one mentions seating over various levels and air-conditioning. The complaints are specific. One group says a manager stood chatting, ignored them, and refused the breakfast menu at 12:01 though they arrived before noon, so they left without eating. One reviewer reports being refused toilet access near closing after explaining a disability, and describes feeling discriminated against. Another was annoyed that alcohol free beer is served in a tiny glass. Reviewers also recall a manager handing back a lost wallet and a staff member keeping a visitor's left behind sunglasses safe and arranging to send them back.

“I just want to make a complaint that every time I order an alcohol free beer at this establishment, they consistently serve it in this stupid tiny glass so that it stands out and everyone I'm with notices. It's really infuriating, just give me a proper beer glass so that I blend in. I sent this one back because I was fed up and the lady dropped and smashed the glass on the floor. GOOD!”

“We were at the bole bridge Wetherspoons the staff were working really hard polite can’t complain about the staff other than their manager was just stood chatting before we tried to order a breakfast. He ignored us waited for the staff to serve service which made it 12:01 but he piped in and refused us to breakfast menu even though we were there before 12 to order he was so rude he could’ve served us all the time we were there. We seen the staff running around. Well he stood around chatting back-and-forth. We won’t ever be coming back. We chose Wetherspoons because most places are great. Next time we’ll go through this town completely to find another. he made us feel so uncomfortable by staring looking through the hat over a task he ran corners we left our food and left.”

“Refused toilet access near closing despite explained disability. I recently needed urgent access to the toilet at Bole Bridge JD Weatherspoons Tamworth as they were closing in 5 mins but the doors were still open and people still drinking inside. I have a disability causing a weak bladder and clearly explained this to the bouncer/staff. Despite the explanation, I was refused entry. This left me distressed and feeling discriminated against. Under the Equality Act 2010, pubs must make reasonable adjustments for disabled people to access their facilities and services without substantial disadvantage. This includes considering urgent toilet needs when a disability is disclosed, even near closing time. Denying access in these circumstances, especially with doors still open, appears to breach this duty. I appreciate operational pressures at closing, but basic dignity and legal requirements for disability access should still apply. I hope Wetherspoons improves staff training on the Equality Act and invisible disabilities.”

“I went to Birmingham for the first time yesterday. And I visited this bar last night and had an amazing time. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is super fun, and the music played here sounds really great. Special thanks to a staff member named Jamie. He provided extremely thoughtful and friendly service. I accidentally left my precious sunglasses at the bar, and he kindly kept them safe and arranged to send them back to me. It was such a wonderful experience overall. I really appreciate everything he did,and I love Birmingham!”
