Customer Review Summary
Fast service is what most reviewers praise, and several call the staff friendly, with one long-time regular saying delivery orders never come up short. The original chicken on the bone earns specific credit for not drying out, and one reviewer is glad the fries come skinless, though another finds the food too salty. Freshness draws complaints too. One late-night customer found the chicken stale and the fries tasting of old oil, and another got cold burgers and chewy chicken on a delivery, then reports feeling sick afterward. Another reviewer objects to being made to order at the machine. One delivery driver reports counter staff swearing in another language while collecting an order. Wrong or missing items recur on delivery apps: one reviewer got no zinger stacker meal and only half the mini fillets, and says a phone agent hung up twice. Another received standard fries instead of dirty loaded fries. A takeaway diner who asked for one large gravy and one large beans was handed two large gravies.

“It’s a very serious offence.I am writing a review note because of mostly staff I think mostly is from Romania when delivery driver arrived they all are making very rude face and talk very rudely when delivery delivers tell the number to collect the order they start using abusing language in their own language with each other which is very shameful. It’s very disrespectful delivery driver come to collect the order on the behalf of customer which is already paid driver not coming for begging so at last. I strongly demand to take very strict to those staff members who is doing that type of activities otherwise you can close the service if you doing insult after paying the money of we start complaining against you from our company hand or from customer hand as we if these types of activities is not stopped by your staff you must need to slove that problem i am waiting for you reply i hope this thing never repeats with any driver.”

“Ordered for delivery, food arrived quickly but unfortunately everything except the gravy was cold, the burgers had way too much bbq sauce on them and the chicken was chewy, currently in between bringing it back up 🤢, was hoping for a treat meal in but ended up wasting £37”

“Late-night service was good, but unfortunately the food was not fresh. When I opened the box, the chicken seemed stale, like it had been cooked an hour earlier. I also had to throw away the fries, they tasted like they had been refried in old oil. I’m confident in this assessment as I’ve previously worked at KFC Australia and understand food quality standards. I’m currently visiting York, and this experience was disappointing. The rest of the service was good, but the food quality really needs improvement.”

“For some reason they refuse to take an order unless you use some stupid machine. Even when they are all just stood around doing nothing. Some stupid lass aswell give her money and she just stands there like she had no idea what to do and then she just throws my change on the side even when I had my hand out ready for the change. KFC has gone down hill massively and the food isn't as good as it used to be so honestly between the useless people not able to talk to take an order apparently and the machine bull and the food going down in everything way its not worth it anymore at all not worth the money or the time”

“Don't often leave reviews but I have to say this is easily the best KFC in York, been eating at this one for years, always fast, efficient and never overcooked, which I can't say the same for the other KFC in York. Never missed an item on delivery either. Can't fault the place, it's exactly how a fast food should be ran”
