“The waitress was very unfriendly and unhelpful, she was very unhappy to serve us, the food was not the best and instead of giving us our food she gave it to us, and let us figure out which one was ours. She got my order wrong and the made us repeat our order which made us feel like we made the mistake, and as I said the waitress was very rude, and grumpy ,I don't know why I even came there. I do NOT recommend if it you are celebrating this with any family or have any kids.”

“Unfortunately, our overall experience at Fat Hippo in York was disappointing, mainly because of the customer service. The food itself was mixed. Some of us really enjoyed our meals and found them tasty, while others had a few small things they weren’t particularly happy with. However, the food was not really the main problem. We were a group of nine, and one person received the wrong order. When the food was brought to the table, it felt quite disorganised. Rather than the meals being handed to the correct people, the food was more or less placed down and we were left trying to work out which meal belonged to whom. The biggest disappointment was the attitude of the person serving us. There was very little eye contact, no real friendliness or cheerful interaction, and the service came across as very cold. Even when it came to paying, there was still hardly any eye contact or engagement with us. When we raised the issue about the incorrect meal, rather than simply checking and resolving it, the first response was to go through what we had ordered, which made us feel as though we had made the mistake. Eventually, they did acknowledge that the order was wrong and replaced the meal, which we appreciated. Overall, the food had some positives, but unfortunately the level of customer service really affected our experience. For that reason, we would not recommend this restaurant based on our visit.If you want, I can also make it a little stronger and more direct for Google Reviews, while still sounding fair and credible.”
