  “We couldn't book online using the 2-for-1 voucher, so we turned up instead. We were told they were "fully booked" for voucher customers, but if we paid full price, we could be seated within 10 minutes. That doesn't make much sense—either there are tables available or there aren't. It felt like the voucher was only accepted when it suited them. They also advertise a free coffee if you leave a Google or TripAdvisor review. I left an honest review and showed it to staff, but because it wasn't 5 stars, they refused to honour the offer. The sign simply says to leave a review; it doesn't say it has to be a positive one. If rewards are only given for favourable reviews, that undermines the credibility of those reviews. I have no issue paying for good food or leaving positive feedback when it's deserved, but offers and promotions should be honoured fairly and honest reviews shouldn't be penalised.”

  “I absolutely loved this place! I have a usual buffet that I attend and after the last few times going I felt like I needed to find a new spot and I'm glad I chose this place. The food is great! The atmosphere does seem a little busy and chaotic when you first enter the dining hall but once you're sat it's pretty relaxed and chill but the service is what fully won me over. Our drinks and table were cleared before we were finished (a common occurrence in our usual which made us feel unwelcome) and as soon as it was noticed that we were in fact not finished we received an immediate sincere apology from the server and a replacement of our drinks. Which was huge considering our experience in other places. So this was the icing on the cake for me. The selection of food is outstanding, there's even lamb ribs and multiple cooking stations! I also loved the fact that they had sushi and infianktmgir to try wagyu beef. I'm definitely looking forward to returning here with more people just to share the experience with them. 10/10 all around.”

  “Chris and Holly made our visit unforgettable! Wow... what can I say? This was our first visit to Panda Mami York, and Chris and Holly made it one we'll never forget. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel so welcome. They were friendly, easy to chat to, and genuinely seemed to enjoy making sure everyone had a great time. You can tell when staff really care, and these two certainly do. They are an absolute credit to Panda Mami. A huge thank you to Holly, who somehow always appeared at exactly the right moment to clear our plates, ready for our next trip to the buffet. I don't know how she kept up with us, but she did it with a smile every single time! Chris was just as brilliant, taking the time to chat with us and making us feel more like guests than customers. The food was fantastic, with so much choice that we kept going back to try "just one more thing". Everything we had was fresh, tasty and well presented, so a big thank you to all of the chefs as well. Safe to say, Panda Mami has become my new favourite place to eat. We left full, happy and already talking about when we'd come back. I've even told my family they need to visit, and they'll be going soon. Thank you, Chris and Holly, for making our first visit so special. We'll definitely be back, and hopefully we'll see you both again!”

  “Celebrating my twin sons graduation We absolutely thoroughly enjoyed the experience- thank you Two ‘slight niggles’ only The croutons seemed stale and the korma tasted ‘tangy’ Everything else was absolutely perfect though x”

  “Staff very friendly and helpful food was very good and the chefs which cooked from the grill was great . My only negative was the Indian section it wasn't replaced the time we was there , dont know if it want because it was tacked away from the other food .”

  “Disappointed. The advertising made it seem like it was a 2-for-1 offer, but when we arrived, we found out it was actually two paying adults and a child eats free. That wasn’t what was being advertised, and it felt misleading. We also had to book a late reservation time, which made things more difficult and added to the disappointment. That said, I have been here before and the food is good. The buffet offers a good selection and I’ve always enjoyed the variety. It’s just a shame that the advertising for this promotion didn’t match what was actually being offered.”

  “Seems a lot of things have changed which is positive I feel , you now pay before you sit down , some new food has been introduced which is good and stuffs moved around , some of the food probably needed more attention as maybe had sat there for a long time but overall very good , young servers were attentive clearing plates which I liked”

  “We visited this restaurant on 21/5/26 at 12pm for a birthday treat. It was the first time we'd been and was disappointed. You have to pay upon entry and order your drinks before being seated or even having a chance to look to see what was on offer regarding the food. We went up for the food and was disappointed to see that only about half of the options was available. The food looked OK but when we started to eat it we found the meats chicken,beef and pork dishes was very dry like it had been cooked for a while and kept warm or even reheated leftovers from the night before. Some of the sauces had a strange chemical taste to them. The only thing i liked was the pizza. The cakes were nice and there was no chocolate fountain which was what we went there for. The staff was really friendly and the atmosphere was OK but the place felt cold.”
