  “Under cooked over priced too loud inside. 25 pounds for a all meat pizza, I've bought better from local outlets at less than half the price. 8 pounds for a pint of near flat larger. Not impressed in the slightest”

  “We came for a family meal this evening. Our pizzas were nice and the atmosphere was good. However what made the evening a 5* experience was that Tia, th manger, noticed one of our boys having some sensory issues with his meal and offered kindness and support in trying to make the experience better for him. Most people don’t notice or charge us extra to accommodate dietary needs, where as she quietly did her best to make us comfortable. Thank you so much for seeing our family and discreetly acknowledging how difficult it can be sometimes for neurodivergent families to eat out together.”

  “Stayed in Whitby on a very busy weekend and couldnt manage to book any of the restaurants we tried. Fortunately our Host at the Wheeldale hotel told us to try Pizza West. We got in, and on arriving it was an unusual building from the outside, so we were a bit worried it might be basic. We were wrong! Inside was a beautiful classy Italian restaurant with a great atmosphere. The young waiter and waitress serving us were welcoming, polite and professional. The wine was good and the food was divine! The menu had been so tempting we ordered too much food, more than we could eat. We ordered Garlic bread, the best both of us had ever tasted, the meatballs were so tasty, as was the pizza, and the sundried tomato and spinach pappardelle . On coming to clear our table the you waiter asked if we would like our food putting in containers to take away with us, which we did. We were so grateful the other restaurants were full because we found the best one in Whitby, a hidden gem and the best Italian food I have had in years, we will be back.”

  “A little disappointing to be honest. Visited last night, punchy prices (~£20/pizza) so was expecting great things. Pizzas were nice but the bottom was undercooked. Side dishes of courgettes and roasted potatoes very expensive. Courgette dish had 4 slices of courgette, potatoes were not crispy. Service was minimal, no checks as to whether food was good, had to get up and pay at the entrance after waiting a while.”

  “Standout dish of the evening for me was class with chorizo. Pizza was tasty too. Relaxing atmosphere. Good quality ingredients. Tiramsu also deserves a mention, if it's good you know the place is good 😁”

  “We reserved counter seats tonight, as there were only two of us, for a change. We enjoyed a fabulous evening spectating the team of four young lads in complete control of the restaurant cookery and confidently making an excellent job of, and taking immense pride in, their work whilst making it look effortless and seemingly enjoying themselves at the same time. We picked up all manner of tips for when we make our own pizzas at home! Best night out in ages and topped off with scrumptious food, as it always is. Top marks Pizza West, especially for tonight’s creative Full English Breakfast pizza delight!”

  “The pizza toppings were delicious. And 2 for 1 cocktails :). We enjoyed sitting at the counter and watching the chefs. Definitely returning in the summer. Gaz, from Durham x”
