  “We had pre-booked a table for six people at 3pm, and upon arrival we were shown straight to our table. The décor was lovely, the restaurant was clean, and the views were stunning. Our waitress was polite and friendly. She provided menus and returned shortly afterwards to take our drinks order. The drinks arrived promptly, and after a short while a waiter came to take our food order. We asked for a little more time, which unfortunately seemed to annoy him. When he returned, we attempted to order four portions of the Chipotle Sticky Chicken starters, only to be told, “That should be taken off the menu, we don’t serve that anymore.” As a result, we ordered one hummus starter instead, followed by six roast dinners and two extra portions of cauliflower cheese for the table. The hummus was enjoyed by my daughter; however, shortly afterwards the waiter returned and attempted to clear the dish before she had finished. When we asked him to leave it a little longer, he replied, “Well, can she start plating your food?” We agreed, although the restaurant was not particularly busy at the time. The main meals, however, were excellent. The food was cooked very well, the beef and pork were both tasty, and the vegetables and potatoes were also well prepared. The only minor issue was that we had to ask for serving spoons for the cauliflower cheese. Overall, the experience was lovely, and we made a point of giving positive feedback to the landlord as we were leaving, making it clear that we would definitely return.”

  “Went for lunch here on Saturday, was made very welcome on arrival. The food was really good and plenty of it. Staff were attentive, view from garden seating was nice. Would definitely recommend this place.”
