Customer Review Summary
Friendly, attentive staff are what reviewers raise most, with one server singled out repeatedly as helpful and nice, and one waitress who checked back and fetched extra sauces during the rugby. Food comes close behind: a prawn cocktail and chicken strips described as delicious, fish and chips, beef lasagne, cheesy chips, and a big treble burger that one reviewer calls a real challenge and says arrived fast despite a busy room. A roast earns praise for its sweetcorn, though one diner wants thicker gravy as an option and another notes the carvery has gone. Several say the refurb improved the atmosphere, while one first-time visitor felt the pub could be updated. The main complaint comes from one reviewer who was served without cutlery and sent inside for it, suspecting it was because they ordered by QR code and tipped little, after which a bird took the food that had just been served. Reviewers also mention outdoor seating and a beer garden, and one family says staff wrapped their leftovers in cling film when there were no takeout boxes.

“We’ve struggled for ages finding places to eat in Weymouth, tried this after a Google search and was pleasantly surprised. The staff are actually happy and all seem to get on which made the world of difference. Lovely atmosphere and a nice meal all round with a lovely smiley lady serving to top it off.”

“The lady who served my food didn’t bring me any cutlery and told me to get them from inside, probably because I ordered using the qr code and didn’t tip enough. As I went in to get the cutlery the bird snatched the food the waiter just served and my evening was ruined. Maybe they don’t get paid enough and relay the most on tips, that could be sorted just bring the minimum tip to 5-10% should not be a big deal as place and food were good overall.”

“I visited here the first time today with my parents who have moved into nearby Hardys court. What I noticed first was the decor and atmosphere of the place. It is extremely welcoming and the pub its self is airy and clean. I had a prawn cocktail and also chicken strips. The prawn cocktail was absolutely delicious!! The quality and taste of the prawns was outstanding! The chicken strips was a great size portion and equally the ingredients and quality of the chicken was superior to most other pubs i,ve been into.A lovely pub”
