  “It's a good venue, hired it out for a surprise 70th birthday party. Allowed to privately rent our own dj, provided our own buffet (so star rated 1 because I don't know what their food is like) . Good enough atmospheric room, plenty of space to host over 60 people or more. Would rent it out again in future.”

  “Booked a party here. The venue in itself is fine but Rachel who you have to book with lets this place down massively. She made my life difficult on the day of the party after changing times we could access the room to decorate as 3 weeks before the party date she sent me a WhatsApp message informing me access to the room was from 2pm but then on the day told me access was 4pm as she didn’t have child care. I managed to get this to 3.30pm as the balloon decor lady was booked in for this time. This made it a tight squeeze to get the room ready in time. Then at the party I would constantly get approached by Rachel to inform me of minor issues quite frankly I wasn’t interested in such as people on dance floor with glasses, I didn’t feel this was my job to inform people as I’d paid £90.00 for doormen to deal with things such as this and when I challenged her to where the doormen were she said the doormen have let her down to which I responded that’s not my problem, she then threatened to not give my £150 deposit back due to this however I made sure I got back my £150 deposit and £90 for the non existent doormen with her manager Mark who informed me he’d checked the cameras and saw no wrong doing. She also snatched a drink out of my 19 year old cousins hand without even querying if she was old enough and just assuming she was underage and wouldn’t give her the drink back until she could prove her age, which she did with ID, completely the wrong way to go about things and completely lacking in customer service and people skills, something you think a party host would have in abundance. It’s a shame because the room is a good size to host parties etc. but I can say I will never recommend this place to anybody I know who’s thinking of having a party here purely for how difficult Rachel was with myself. My recommendation would be to AVOID this place for party bookings 👍🏼”

  “The person who has the licence Rachel is awful, she is aggressive and threatening, un helpful and rude ! We entered the room with a few bottles of UNOPENED champagne. Left from our party bus, we had no intention of drinking them, they quickly snatched up by said Rachel accusing us of drinking the UNOPENEDbottles, as we had just entered we had no idea where the gift table was, which is where she put them, I was Leaning up a post next to the dance floor my feet were on the dance floor, I was told aggressively to get off the dance floor with my drink by Rachel, I moved my feet 1 step left, my lovely mother law age 72 asked Rachel why she was being aggressive as she had been all day when they went to decorate, she went on to lean down in my mother in laws face and basically said she would throw her out, I interviened by touching Rachel's shoulder she is not threatening an elderly lady I then got accused of touching her etc etc. , we were told she would ruin the party and throw everyone out, she snatched a drink off a 19 year old cuz she looked younger! Didnt ask for ID, Accused us of having underage drinkers, threatened to keep the deposit! The owner came to calm it down said he had viewed the cameras there was no trouble no signs off underage drinking and she was over reacting The licence person Rachel made it obvious she didn't want to be there at 2 then again at 5 because we couldn't take the food till then! I would seriously recommend staying away with this type of woman in charge threatening old ladies, snatching party poppers off children cuz she said there not allowed and basically charging around getting glasses being mean and aggressive ! I had my wedding there back in 2012 much better people”

  “We had my sister in laws 50th birthday here Saturday 15th July. Land lady Racheal wasn’t helpful at all if I could give her any advice it would be to highly recommend she changes her career as she ain’t suitable for this job as no people skills or even management skills rude bitter lady ….she wasn’t happy with us setting up room from 2pm which she previously said was ok to do so said she doesn’t want to be around all day she as a child to care for and it’s to much for her … she was moaning about how we decorated the tables with sparkly bits said she doesn’t want them close to the edge.. she was moaning at the lady with balloon display said it was in the walk way wen the lady who was decorating the balloons as been doing them for 10 years and she made it clear to Racheal she knows what she is doing and won’t be in any walk way as she was still setting balloon arch up ..she wouldn’t allow food to be brought in till 5:30 which we did our selves and party was starting from 7:30 ..we arrived with bottles of champagne from a party bus we had been on for presents for the birthday girl Donna we wasn’t going to drink them in the party she grabbed them of us … she was rude to our guests grabbing glasses off tables in a aggressive manner she was rude and got aggressive and got in my mother in law s face who is 72 years old got aggressive with my sister in law and told us she would ruin party and throw us all out…. Like to see her try …she was refusing to give our deposit back but the owner mark was a lovely man he checked cctv and seen no fault on our part what so ever my advice to him is to choose his staff more better as she will ruin his business like she tried to ruin our surprise party but didn’t succeed I’ve been to many party’s here and it’s never as been like this before but Racheal wasn’t in charge then it was some one else I wouldn’t advice booking a party here while she is involved”

  “If you are considering hiring this venue for a party, then don’t bother. It’s a lovely room with a fantastic resident DJ but the positives stop there! At the time of booking they were so helpful. However, the day of the party was so stressful due to everything that had been arranged with us & the management being thrown out the window. It was touch & go as to whether the room would even be ready in time for the guests arriving. Wouldn’t want anyone else having to have the same bad experience. They just want your money!!!!”

  “Had a Great Night At Wolfe's Bar. We came down from Scotland for our Grand Daughter's 21st. The Venue was decorated beautifully. There was plenty of choice of drinks and all reasonably priced. Well Done to all on making this night a great success. 👍🏻”

  “Been here twice, my coat got stolen the first time and the second time my ex's wallet got robbed. Will never go back. Free shots were too good to be true as once too drunk my ex was unable to keep track of his wallet and my Bench coat disappeared at a drag/stripper night. Felt targeted for theft. I am told this has happened to others”
