About Queens
Queens is a pub at 1 Norton Rd in Walsall, set up for groups who want something to do alongside a drink. It runs a SpeedQuizzing quiz night and karaoke, and live music and singers perform on occasion. Sport is shown on many screens, including a large indoor screen, and dominoes are played in the pub. For food, the pub serves cobs, and the "What the cluck" street food van visits. An outside bar adds music on occasion during the summer. Dogs are welcome.

Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often point to friendly bar staff and a lively, welcoming atmosphere, with a mix of ages, plenty of chat and laughter, and dominoes on the tables. Sport is the next draw, with football on the many screens and one extremely large television. One reviewer who gave a middling score mainly rates it as a place for international games on the big indoor screen. Karaoke on Sunday, live music and good weekend singers come up repeatedly, and a Monday quiz is praised for its pace, sound and host. The cobs are called bang on, and one visitor happily ate a street food van's chicken inside out of the rain. Dogs are welcome, and one visitor mentions sitting beside a friendly lady and her puppy. The one stated drawback is limited guest ales, though the draught beers are described as very cold. One regular says staff happily mix an odd order of JD with soda and Diet Coke, and another says a wine they had waited years for appeared once they asked.

“I called in for the quiz on a Monday Night. I visit a lot of quizzes. This is what I wrote in my diary "There is not a single aspect of this pub and quiz that I could be negative about. From the moment I walked in, to my chat on the doorstep on my way home. Landlord and landlady Janine and Ashley. Emma behind the bar. Chris inviting me to join his team. Every team. Structure, pace, sound, host, maintenance of engagement of every team. £2.50 in a 4 pound a pint world. The pub, the village, the product, the adaption; this is what SpeedQuizzing is for. The host, Carla, is in that draw of female hosts who are unchallenging in the nicest way possible, yet perfectly competent and clear, exuding a gentle humour evenly. I only saw her and spoke to her right at the end of the night when she was on her way out, I only wanted to tell her how good she was but did not want to sound sycophantic. She was that good I probably failed on that last bit." In a nutshell, I love pubs, am easily seduced, but The Queens in Pelsall has got something special going for it. I wish I could bottle it, I'd be a millionaire.”
