Customer Review Summary
Friendly, attentive service is what reviewers raise most. Several describe polite staff who checked on tables regularly, helped a diner in a wheelchair, and made family meals feel lovely. Food praise comes close behind, naming a burger one couple called the best they had had in a long time, the ribs, and a roast vegan dinner with apple crumble, with a few calling the prices reasonable. A good selection of lagers and beers also gets a mention. The caveat is inconsistency. One diner found the chicken strips dry and lacking flavour. Another enjoyed the nachos but thought the pulled pork topping underwhelming for the cost, and found the cake a bit off and the lemon meringue closer to marshmallow. One regular, visiting since the pub changed hands, had food arrive cold after a long wait in a quiet room. One reviewer describes aggressive staff, and another found staff scarce at lunchtime. After a disappointing baby shower meal, a staff member sorted out the food problem and gave the group free drinks.

“A lovely homely pub eatery in Pelsall, never been before but thought we’d give it a try, a good selection of lagers and beers and a great food menu as well, staff were very polite and on the ball, tables were cleaned as soon as they were empty no mess or litter anywhere, would highly recommend and definitely go again, big special mention to our server Olivia, very polite and customer savvy always with a beaming smile, great visit. “Our first visit left us with mixed impressions. While the nachos were enjoyable, the £4 pulled pork topping felt very underwhelming for the price(£12). Dessert was also a letdown; the cake tasted a bit off, and the lemon meringue texture was much closer to pure marshmallow than standard meringue. We see the potential here, the food consistency needs attention."”

“Just recently had my baby shower meal/gathering here and overall was a good experience the food wasn’t the best but I’m sure his name was Morris was looking after us and he sorted out the food stuff and gave free drinks which was really kind and we appreciated him sorting it out for us, the service was great they all checked on us regularly and made sure everyone was happy so overall was a nice evening! So thank you all”
