“Proper local boozer, no frills or gimmicks, it's clean and tidy with good beer, for decent money, hosts are friendly, no loud music so you can have a conversation if you want one. The one thing I would like to see change is the stopping of the vaping in the bar including behind the bar itself by the lady serving the customer's, not the best look, for me same rules should apply as the ordinary smokers.”

“Went in for the first time having lived in the area for a few years. I use the neighbouring pubs fairly frequently but always gave the swan a miss because of the irregular opening times and constant opening and closing down that made it uninviting. Not using this pub was a big mistake and I was pleasantly surprised to find an old time boozer that has loads of character and a good atmosphere. The sofas and decorative furniture in the back room gives a homely feel and the landlord was very friendly and welcoming. The prices were fantastic compared to the other pubs in vicinity and the pint was quality. I'm not a regular reviewer but had to drop one for this. Support your local pubs! The swan is definitely now firmly on my itinerary in the wyrley pub crawl.”
