  “Cross contamination written all over it. Overheard lady sat near us say she felt bad exchanging a dessert (which I think is reasonable, if something isn’t to your standard). She’s gotten the new dessert, something in the dessert apparently tasted like onions. Which I’m assuming was the kitchen staff having a laugh or “one back at her”. To be honest I think that’s disgusting, as a person who is funnily enough allergic to onions this is unacceptable. I’ve overheard the two ladies talk about how weird it was because she was happy to pay for a new one if they told her to. It’s not like they make the cakes. All comes frozen. Ego of kitchen staff clearly hurt, putting people’s lives at risk. I own a restaurant, Appalling.”

  “Such a great space to find somewhere to sit and drink. Good weather outside, chilled inside so really cant complain. Seated outside with a good pint. Pleasant staff, not loud at all and comfortable. Glass for the Prosecco had lipstick on so drank from the bottle instead. Guinness for me was perfect”

  “Only 2 stars because they have a lovely courtyard beer garden which has clear signage stating No Smoking & No Vaping and there were loads doing both. Staff were bringing drinks in and out and said nothing. So EITHER enforce your own rules or take the signs down/or if it does not apply to the courtyard area, still take the signs down. And no ashtrays, so it's just all going on the ground !!”

  “One of the cleanest Wetherspoons I've been in, there were no dirty plates or glasses on any table, and tables were cleared as soon as they were vacated. The floors, carpet, walls and even the toilets were spotlessly clean too - a credit to the staff on duty there. Found free parking (3 hour max) on a nearby road (New Road), saving having to pay! Within 100 yards or so, you'll find: a sensory garden, a war memorial statue, a children's playground, local shops and the town hall - of architectural interest.”

  “Made a beautiful job of refurbishment. Outdoor area seems particularly well designed. Stairs to the loos repositioned are less steep and safer, plus, loos are as usual have had money spent on them.. Appreciated some new relaxing chairs. Staff were in abundance, but ofcourse it was their official opening day.”
