  “Pleasant clean interior with several different areas for dining or bar. Very comprehensive Italian menu choices from three fixed price menus to individual choices from a main menu. Good value, enjoyable food and friendly service. Decent wine choice by bottle or glass. Would certainly visit again.”

  “I wish I could give Pesto 7-stars. We had a amazing experience there. From the warm welcome to getting our meals, we were well looked after. Being my first time in the area, I was unsure of what to expect, but it exceeded mu expectation. Great menu, fairly priced with options for everyone. Top notch service from Kiera. Definitely worth a visit.”

  “We visited Pesto yesterday and were absolutely delighted with the whole experience. From the moment we arrived, everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The service was attentive, efficient and genuinely warm, making us feel very comfortable throughout our visit. The restaurant has a lovely, cosy atmosphere, and every dish we ordered was fresh and absolutely delicious. What impressed us even more was the outstanding value for money. The quality of the food, the excellent service and the welcoming atmosphere were exceptional, especially considering the very reasonable prices. We left genuinely impressed and will definitely be coming back. Pesto has become one of our favourite restaurants, and we look forward to visiting again very soon. Highly recommended!”

  “They definitely nailed the British brief here: fantastic ambiance, but the food seems designed for people who think black pepper is too spicy. First of all, the portions are tiny. When we complained about having to mix mismatched dishes, the waitress seriously suggested ordering the exact same dish three times. We ordered the ribs, Alfredo con spinaci, peposo, and linguine al cartoccio. As a meat lover, the ribs and peposo tasted like they had been sitting around for days. The Alfredo was completely tasteless, and the linguine smelled so bad we sent it right back. If you only care about a nice room and nice wallpaper, you’ll love it. If you actually want edible food, do not waste your time."”

  “We genuinely enjoyed the food and the atmosphere at Pesto Sutton Coldfield, which is why I'm disappointed to be writing this review. During our visit, my husband, our three-year-old daughter and I were speaking Persian together. A member of staff, who was also Iranian, approached us and asked if we were Iranian. After we said yes, he told us twice that he could tell from our accent. I understand that he may not have intended to be unkind, but the comment left me feeling self-conscious. What saddened me most was my three-year-old daughter asking me afterwards, "Mummy, do we speak strangely?" She speaks English with a British accent because she attends nursery here, while my husband and I speak English as a second language. I don't believe there is anything wrong with having an accent. Everyone has one, including the member of staff. However, repeatedly pointing ours out made us feel uncomfortable and had an unexpected impact on our daughter. I hope this feedback is taken constructively. Pesto is a lovely restaurant, and I simply hope all customers, regardless of where they come from or how they speak, are made to feel equally welcome and respected.”

  “Food was yummy, the small plates were really nice although maybe a bit carbohydrate heavy but what can you expect with Italian. Price of the food was really good. The waiter we had was really attentive. The space inside was minimal and hard to navigate and rather over crowded but it was a Saturday evening. Overall we really enjoyed visiting and will be trying out one of their other locations soon.”

  “The food was very good. Because the portion sizes were small, we were able to try a wide variety of dishes from the menu, which was a real highlight. Most of the items were excellent. The service was outstanding, attentive and friendly throughout. The atmosphere was lovely and relaxed.”

  “Brilliant evening last night with the family and a bill of only £100 for 4 people I thought was good value. Only thing I’d say is turn the lights up more it was too dark and difficult to read the menu.”

  “Overall, it’s a great place to dine with friends and family. The atmosphere is warm and pleasant. There’s a wide variety of options on the menu, and the food tastes good. However, the dishes were quite salty, possibly due to heavy use of MSG, and the portions felt a bit small. It would be better if they could reduce the use of MSG and offer more generous portions.”

  “First time ive been here . Came with my family for my daughter's birthday. Loved the fact you could have more than 1 choice for your meal . Service was good all our food came together & very tasty so much to choose from . Would highly recommend 👌”
