Customer Review Summary
Friendly, welcoming staff are the most repeated praise at this halal Italian restaurant, with reviewers singling out a waiter offering freshly grated Parmesan and extra cheese added at the table. Close behind is the food. One diner praises the pasta dishes, another the bruschetta romana, tiger prawns and burrata pomodoro, and others call the mains piping hot, delicious and generous in size. Opinion on the cooking is split, though. One couple left after a seafood pizza and lasagna, calling the pizza flavourless and the hot chocolate poorly made, while another found the steak and prawns low on flavour with a cold sauce. A third called the sautéed potatoes greasy, with an oil that smelled. A couple of reviewers note that no alcohol is served, and one suggests reserving because the room was busy. Service draws criticism too. Staff reportedly objected to a table's own bottled water, then held back the promised jug until the food arrived, and one diner had to get up to find someone to ask for the bill.

“Came here for an occasion and it was good - for starters we ordered the Bruschetta romana, tiger prawns and burrata pomodoro. These were great and I would get them again. For mains we ordered the Lasagna Al Forno, a few Pizzas and a Sirloin steak which were alright. The service was decent and it was quite busy - I suggest one makes a reservation. Also, everything was halal I believe.”

“First time trying after being recommended by a friend. Food was pricey but the portions were generous. Extra cheese by the staff at the table was a nice touch. Wouldn’t recommend the sautéed potatoes as they were quite greasy and the oil had a smell. Overall however, our mains dishes were quite enjoyable. Staff were friendly and were cracking jokes however customer service could be improved overall. Staff didn’t want us to drink our own bottled water but when they told us they would bring over a jug, we had to wait until our food arrived. We had to get up to find someone to request the bill as well.”

“Absolutely delighted to have visited this authentic halal Italian restaurant. I was recommended here by a friend and was not disappointed. Small and intimate, but yet cosy and warm. The pasta dishes were amazing and the waiter asking if we wanted freshly grated Parmesan was a lovely touch. Will definitely be returning!”
