Customer Review Summary
Pasta draws the most praise, with diners naming the Zitoni Toscanini with spiced Tuscan sausage and the Ravioli Tartufo topped with truffle shavings, while one reviewer calls a risotto genuinely perfect. Close behind is service, with several describing friendly, attentive staff who recommended dishes and wine pairings, and a group of ten seated promptly. A Burrata Pizza with vegetarian 'nduja, truffle fries described as a huge portion, and the cocktails and desserts also earn mentions, along with the downstairs decor with flowers on the walls. Complaints are fewer but specific. One reviewer found a risotto lacking flavour and prawns, and was served a malbec without being told the price. Another got luke warm pasta after a long wait on Valentine's Day. One couple was seated beside a rowdy, sweary table, and one diner found the air con too cool. The baked cheesecake was called the standout of one disappointing meal, and an anniversary table ended with profiteroles carrying a greeting written in chocolate sauce.

“Huge thank you to Giovanni and the whole team for such a lovely evening for my friends and I. The food recommendations were absolutely spot on, my risotto was genuinely perfect, as were the two pasta dishes my friends had. the cocktails and desserts were equally fantastic. What really made the evening, though, was how wonderfully looked after we felt from start to finish by the whole team. Giovanni was so lovely, attentive and welcoming, and his care and enthusiasm really made a difference. A brilliant meal, fantastic drinks and wonderful service. We had such a lovely evening and will absolutely be back! Thank you, Giovanni!”

“Food excellent, service second to none.great experience. However, would have suited us if the air con could have been slightly lower and less cool. Otherwise wonderful”

“Had a lovely dinner at San Carlo with a group of 10. We were seated promptly with no waiting, and the service was excellent from start to finish. Special thanks to Tamzid, Eduardo and Ossama for being so welcoming, attentive and friendly throughout the evening. Great food, great atmosphere and fantastic service, we’ll definitely be back!”

“Disappointing. Risotto lacked flavour and prawns. Baked cheesecake was the standout dish. What a shame. Plus served a bottle of malbec, not informed of price. £74.50 malbec. We had 1 starter 2 mains 1 dessert, so not big spenders, good waiting staff would have clocked that and politely drop that price into the conversation. We eat out regularly, want to keep the hospitality industry going but poor service and not reading the table. We asked for a malbec and not given any information about it. I have eaten at much better places, happy to spend, staff always engage with us about the menu and wines, not on this occasion. The best thing there that day was the lovely hostess. Hope she moves on to a better establishment.”
