Customer Review Summary
Reviewers most often single out the staff, describing friendly, welcoming service that goes out of its way, including being good with a baby, quick with kids' food and regularly checking in on tables. Food comes close behind, with the fried chicken and loaded fries, a smoked bacon cheeseburger and the chicken burger all praised, along with Sunday roast dinners that met roast expectations. Desserts get mentions too, namely the sticky toffee pudding with ice cream, the tiramisu and the warm chocolate brownie. One reviewer says it is no longer a good all round pub but more of a fancy restaurant, and suggests booking a table before going. Complaints are modest. One found it too warm inside, another said a busy Friday evening was understaffed though the waitresses stayed welcoming under pressure, and one noted the back was loud with a big group. One reviewer enjoys the sports shown, especially now that the beer garden has a tv.

“Stopped in for a Sunday roast. Everything was spot on. Food was great. Fulfilled all my roast expectations. Service was friendly. Atmosphere laid back. I loved every aspect except how warm it was inside. But their sticky toffee pudding and ice cream helped with that.”

“Lovely food, fab service, friendly staff. It was a friday after work so it was quite loud at the back with a big group but we sat at the front and enjoyed our food / drinks”
