Customer Review Summary
Friendly bar staff are what most reviewers return to, described as welcoming, quick and efficient, with speedy service on New Year's Eve. Close behind are private events: one reviewer held a birthday party where the host offered to help decorate, and another hosted a baby shower in its own section, with guests complimenting the food. Others mention lunch, a January sale deal, reasonably priced family-friendly food, comfy seating, lots of screens showing sport, a large terrace and beer garden, and lagers including Landlord, a house ale and a guest. Three reviewers give a sharply different account. Two describe the same visit to watch an England match, reporting that a male customer called one sister a lesbian and the other a fat slag, and that staff took his side, asked the group to leave and said they would call the police. A third says a server refused to take ice out of a Pepsi and then barred them after a exchange about reviews and CCTV.

“horrible place i’ve just been in and spent a lot of money only to be discriminated by a male who called my sister a lesbian for liking football and called me a fat slag and the staff took his side and kicked us out and said they would call the police: do not bother wasting your money in this place they have no respect for customers and women’s rights and will allow people to call you any name under the sun without being kicked out or called out for it.”

“Terrible service. I ordered a pepsi and specifically asked for little ice. Went back as had a glass of ice with minimal drink. The lady serving today refused to take ice out of the drink and top it up with actual pepsi. I responded this won't be good for Google reviews, the lady responded I'm threatening her and it's all on CCTV. Asked for the ice back, told me I was barred and asked me to leave. What a shame I was about to order some food aswell. Terrible experience. The lady she refused to sort the drink for out is severely disabled aswell. I do hope the proprietor reads this and looks at said what CCTV”

“Disgusting establishment. I was in there with my family watching the England game only to be called a lesbian by a male who I didn't say a word to who then proceeded to call my sister a fat slag and the bar staff and owner took his side and kicked us out and said they were calling the police. Absolutely disgusting I can't even believe I have just dealt with this and nothing has been done. I promise you I will not let this slide. Horrible horrible business and should not be allowed to deal with customers this was a party who booked an area out for a 30th party so it's quite clear who's side they took. No respect for women and women's rights. Do not spend your money at this place.”
