Customer Review Summary

Diners single out the Full Moon Inn for its generous, flavourful dishes, with the mussels in creamy garlic sauce, crispy chicken burger topped with an onion bhaji, and Bakewell tart repeatedly praised. The roast beef, pie of the day, and pan-fried liver and bacon also earn frequent mention for their quality and presentation. Several highlight the warm, lively atmosphere and attentive staff, while the garden and outdoor seating add to the appeal. Close behind, the Moon Burger and Posh Kebab receive specific acclaim for their taste and texture, though one reviewer notes the kebab portion is small for a main. A recurring complaint centres on the fish pie, described by one diner as bland, lacking fish, and served with dry mash and overcooked vegetables, while another finds the sticky toffee pudding stodgy and the hot chocolate lukewarm. One reviewer reports being seated outside in cold weather to accommodate a private party. Several suggest booking ahead due to high demand.

My partner and I visited the Full Moon at Morton on Bank Holiday Monday and enjoyed a wonderfully relaxed afternoon in the garden, helped along by glorious weather and an inviting atmosphere. The setting felt subtly elegant, with a lively yet comfortable energy. A large group at the table beside us were celebrating a birthday and clearly having a fantastic time, which only added to the sense of warmth and enjoyment around the place. For our meal, I ordered the mussels with fries, served with a baguette and a beautifully rich creamy garlic sauce. It was an excellent dish, full of flavour and generously portioned. My partner chose the crispy chicken burger topped with an onion bhaji, accompanied by fries, and he was equally impressed. We both finished with the Bakewell tart which was absolutely delicious and the perfect end to the meal. The staff were attentive and genuinely welcoming throughout. A lady who appeared to be the manager or owner came over to check on our food, and I was more than happy to tell her it was delicious. The combination of great service, quality food and a charming environment made the experience thoroughly enjoyable. The Full Moon at Morton is a fantastic place to spend an afternoon and we would happily return.

Proper rural pub with brilliant food and a good selection of drinks. Staff always pleasant and helpful. Pub is tucked away in a small village just out if Fiskerton but is always busy despite its slightly hidden location. If eating here - book ahead. It gets busy.

Great country pub, we were running late, I added an extra guest to the booking last minute but the staff were very accommodating throughout. The menu was exciting and food was delicious, atmosphere was just great -such a lovely find. Locals are very lucky to have this pub in their village. Will definitely visit again!

We had informed the pub when we booked that one of the guests had allergies. There was no allergy menu available, and the waiting staff had to take the menu to the chef to get them to tick what was safe to eat. The choices were very …

How this listing is sourced

Where the data comes from
Name, address, hours, contact details, amenities, ratings and review counts come from the business's publicly available profile data — not from the owner and not from paid submissions.
How it stays current
Every listing is re-checked on a recurring crawl, and anything reported as wrong is corrected at the source rather than patched on the page.
How it is ranked
Placement is never sold. Every business on the page is ordered and compared using the same public signals, so an owner cannot pay to move up.
